Two New Gameplay Modes

Only players in these modes can play with other players, so there can't be a player in FI mode who dominates an otherwise normal mission.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F*** It Mode (Should be renamed by DE, unless they're that awesome.)

In FI mode, you have ten times the shields, HP, and armor, three or four times the damage, regenerate health and energy at 20 per second or so, and have unlimited clip sizes.

There are also never any mod, credit or resource drops, and all affinity and credits earned from completion and killing are cut to 1% of normal. In addition, beating a mission in FI mode does not unlock any new missions, so you can't just get to Outer Terminus using this and instead can only replay levels in this mode.

Pros: A very relaxing mode where you're in perma god mode, just with almost no rewards. A mode for when you say "Just f*** it" and decide to kill everything with no challenge.

Cons: Almost no rewards, and what you do get isn't worth a single run of Terminus. (Max credit reward in FI mode is 48, and max general affinity gains would cap around 300.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

McMillan Mode (Named for Edmund McMillan of Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac fame.)

The game hates you, with a deep, burning passion. All artifacts are disabled, health and energy pickups are only worth 5 each and can only drop from crates/lockers, enemies flee when injured and every foe has a shield, powerful attacks punch right through shields (missiles, railgun shots, etc.) and foes in general have increased stats.

In addition, injuries slow you down, enemies only drop ammo for weapons they use (use anything except a Grakata in a Grineer mission, or just plain want to use guns in a Corpus mission? Good luck.) with universal ammo drops rare from crates/lockers, and enemies now grapple you and hold you in place for their friends to hit instead of normal melee attacks.

However, credits and affinity gained are tripled, as is the mod rate, and there is a very minor chance (.1% for normal foes, 1% for elite units, and 5-10% for bosses) to drop an unnamed Un/Common/Rare mod, which can be changed into any mod of that rarity or lower on the mission victory screen. Resource drops are also increased and doubled in value.

Pros: A far greater challenge for anyone getting complacent, with far greater drops and the unique Unnamed mods.

Cons: You will die, so much in this mode.

I can't help but laught at the names of the game modes

I think that what you want is the possibility to choose the difficulty for the level instead of those random numbers that appear each time you join a level.

As for the drop rate I believe that the harder the level becomes the higher the drop rate for mods but the problem is that the player cannot choose the difficulty for the level.

Being able to choose the difficulty would really help to play the starter levels again.
