Crafting Prime Warframes/weapons

Seeing how there are a few prime weapons/warframes, I think it would be cool to be able to craft prime warframes/weapons.

 

Now the name wouldn't have to be prime, and perhaps exclude the ability to craft excalibur/skana/lato prime (to prevent the few who would whine about it).

 

Make the cost require an additional 1-5 of that item. So crafting a Loki prime, would require 5 Lokis. For those hardcore players who really really love their particular warframe. This would make them a very nice rarity.

 

When you upgrade however, make it transfer over whatever the first slot has (or if any of them have a reactor, transfer that over, along with possibly the level).

 

Granted there would be only a small bonus for doing so, giving an extra 1-2 polarity slots.

the devs are throwing around ideas for "prestiging" a warframe once its 30. 

 

that may or may not include a new look.

 

thats probably as close as you are going to get in terms of "upgraded" frames.

The 'prime' stuff isn't even all that much more powerful than the regular versions. But its an exclusive item for people who have given support to the Dev's. Just like the Vandal weapons were for people who were there for the specific event. Their not going to allow people to craft them as it would devalue the gifts they gave to people who invested in the game. No sooner would they allow people to craft the Vandal weapons as it would devalue them.
