Can't launch from the EXE anymore, so no steam overlay :(

Inability to launch the game through the exe has removed the ability to add it on steam.

Is this ever going to change, or maybe the game's going to be put on steam later?

Try doing the 34 bit launcher not the 64 bit launcher

If you are going for the "<insertnamehere> is playing Warframe." you can launch the launcher, click play, then launch the launcher again and let it sit in the background and it will show your status as playing. But you dont get the overlay this way.

Nah I don't care for it showing that, just like having the overlay so I don't have to alt-tab to check messages.

If this is intentional, the devs may have reasons, but otherwise, the Steam overlay is really free advertisement for them. I've gotten quite a few "what's warframe?" IMs and I link them to the site, and get people to play. In return, I have easy screenshots I can share and overlay so I don't have to alt-tab. It's a win-win.

They may have done it as some sort of anti-cheat, but cheaters always find ways, and like anti-piracy DRM, it only really hurts the legit players. I hope this restriction goes away because I would like to be able to use it on Steam again. :(

Sigh, I guess it's back to alt+entering every 5 minutes because excessive alt+tabbing crashes the game -.-
