Core Crafting/purchases?

Has DE mentioned if we'll see a way to buy or craft new Cores? The current drop sysem kind of sucks if you want to craft something higher level and I'm sitting on a pile of credits and crafting materials. I'd be great if I could convert that stuff into something I can use.

I don't think they've touched on it or if they will, drops are random and what not, so you'll just have to stick to farming for a while longer. I know rare cores are harder to come by now, but I pick up at least 1 core each mission  play on, if the mods are dropping often maybe 2 or 3, if it's mods galore on defense up to 5, depending on how long the other players stay. I'm also sitting and tons of credits, but I also have 6 or more pages of cores, I have only maxed out abilities I use and plan to use cores for mods I heavily use, but just keep on farming and hope you get some more drops ; )
