Mod Pack Price Consistency

Due to the nature how a mod pack works (random mods), IMO its getting undervalued over time as new warframes/mods are added.

 

Let me explain by a contrived example :

Suppose there are only 5 mods in the game, and there is a mod pack which costs 100 platinum and gives 1 random mod. Now with that, every 100 platinum means 20% chance of getting a mod you want (or more if you want more than 1 mod).

 

Now suppose, 5 new mods are added to the game, getting a particular mod has only 10% chance. So, 100 platinum for 10% (instead of earlier 20%).

 

Coming back to the situation existing in warframe, look at dragon mod pack. 2 guaranteed rare for 90 platinum. The thing is, every warframe has its own set of 2 rare mods (as their abilities). So every new warframe added, or every new mod added, means anyone buying the mod pack is getting lesser and lesser value for their platinum as time goes by.

There are people buying that? It's easy enough to find rare mods in game, it just happens at some point or another, just have some patience. As for the mod pack, it's a gamble, if you don't want to take the risk, just don't. It's not like you need every rare mod to begin with or anything.

Its not about how easy or hard to obtain mods. Its also not about if one should or shouldnt take risk with mod packs. I just pointed out the fact that keeping the price of mod packs constant while adding more and more warframes/mods is indirectly making them more and more costly.
