I downloaded Warframe about 2 hours ago, and I have a general understanding of the game, but it's still confusing to me. I don't know how to get new weapons and warframes, and I can't understand the menu system in its entirety.

If anyone has tips or is willing to help me get new weapons and warframes, I'd be more than happy.

Welcome to the community Trooper, enjoy your stay :)

And you can get new weapons by the following means=Buying a blueprint from the market,  Duplicating a clan-tech research from a clan dojo (Once you join or create one.

The same goes for warframes, but in addition you need to gather the parts for the said warframe from a certain boss.

(You also need to collect resources to build the weapons and warframes.)

Oh, and if you have anything else: http://warframe.wikia.com

from the wiki you can find pretty much everything related to this game.

And you tought well.
You can get weapons or their diagrams in market, warframes you get trough completing assassinations missions aka bosses, plus on some of this you unlock other quest too, other then the tutorials.
The planets are unlocked the same way, beating bosses on the planets to give navigation segments. To reach some bosses you have to unlock nodes, wich is simply complete the missions, wich unlock the nodes next to them.

Welcome! If you need any help give me a PM. Do you have any questions right now?

My main question right now is, what's the easiest way to get weapons and warframes? I prefer speedier warframes but I'm stuck with Excalibur right now, so I need your advice on that.

Thanks for all the information! :)

Another question that probably seems stupid to you, what's clan tech?

Would higher level people be able to help me complete the assassinations, or would I have to grind up to their rank to play the mission with them?

Exalibur is an excellent warframe, offering some good amounts of damage and defensive capabilities.

But before you decide to get a new warframe, do level your current one to its maximum level, to gain the full amount of mastery Xp. (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Mastery_Rank in case you do not know what mastery rank means)

And I would like to help, but sadly I am playing on a different platform than you are, you have to ask around the other PS4 community members.
