I feel like I'd be making a mistake to use Forma on anything that isn't Prime, based on the assumption that one day, there will be prime versions of everything! The only way to solve this problem that I can think of, is to have non prime versions of weapons be part of the build components for their prime counterparts, and then letting the player transfer their polarity progress from the base weapon to the new prime version.Worst thing that this game could do to me would be spending how many ever formas and time perfecting a warframe or weapon, and then three days later the prime version being released. Spending up to 160 plat to polarize a weapon, not to mention leveling something up up to 9 times, isn't something that should just be thrown away, not in two weeks, not in "ages".
