Giving New Life To Ships With Ice(Frozen Hell)

A incentive to run maps with ice at half shields.

Give a higher drop rate for Modules especially the rare ones and resources. And if there is a boss, then he drops a bunch of modules and atleast one rare module as well as resources. And a low rate of dropping alert blueprints.

Or

In this very maps waits a Frigid Hell Type Orokin beast that would be pretty hard to kill. Once killed he would drop a bunch of modules and have a high drop rate for rare modules. He would also drop double all resources and also drop one alert Blueprint. And at the end of the mission, you get 5 times the reward and Affinity.

Just remember, your shields are halved and people are quitting these maps you work so hard to decorate with ice due to having halved shields. What a waste, eh?

Or...

Rather than one Orokin Frigid hellbeast, you have maybe 2 or 5 or more or Warframe Clones all controlled by the Orokin. And they all drop one of each resource, a bunch of modules and perhaps one alert Blueprint .

And these maps could have difficulty tiers and on insane, you'll face the both the Warframe clones and hellbeat thereafter one after another and on insane, it could be a special Orokin boss that drops Prime blueprints. Or Prime stuff. this includes Frost.

These ice levels are rare so what do ye think?

PS: "Welcome To Frozen Hell" would be seen at the start of the level.

And you can also add a way to acquire the keys to the Frozen Hell Zone. Activate a mechanism that would freeze the ship over having an affect on the enemies.

How ice levels work now, them being ice levels right from the start, it means that you can easily avoid them by starting the mission again. This sure is annoying, but easy.

But if you would actually want to play in an ice level, because of increased drop rates etc. you have to start a mission again and again to get an ice level. Easy, but really annoying.

It's just dice rolling done badly.

Easy solution, make the coolant leak occur halfway through the mission. People less likely to abort mission as they will have all ready progressed through mission and picked up some mats and mods, and you have to play at least half the mission to find out if it's frozen or not. Also allows for cool environmental hazards and animations when the coolant leak is introduced (areas freezing over, unfortunate enemies standing in the wrong spots getting snap frozen etc).

Then the devs can add new enemies and rewards as they see fit. Maybe coolant leaks attract hungry void beasts that like to nom on liquid nitrogen, and flesh. Perhaps completing a frozen level would allow for an additional mission completion reward, like a 1000 of the main mats typically farmed on that level, or 1 of the rare mats formed on that level, or an extra mod based on how high and hard the level is.

I like OP's idea.

Currently I just play trough ice missions anyway 'cause they don't bother me too much and they look so pretty, but it would be nice if people looked at them as something risky and rewarding, rather than as a pain in the &#!, same thing goes for secondary objective missions too really.

Well, they can always remedy this by making the ice appear based on how many missions/alerts completed(The more you complete, the more likely it is to appear as some kind of reward, but it's still random and quitting excessively only makes it not appear. Basically don't make ice appear after a player has quit at the start more than 5 times or less.
