Which Extractor Is Best For Avoiding Fielderon/detonite Samples?

Those two resouces are the most disappointing extractor yields that I have come across -- I have nothing more plentiful than Fielderon/Detonite samples. Which extractor gives me the lowest chance of getting one of those two? Titan or Distilling?

I use titan when distilling ones run out because of damage taken and need to regen or I will come back not much after 4 hours, otherwise I use distilling. I don't really care about the research samples because extractors are just extra resources.

I use titans to collect ferrite on mercury, earth, and neptune.

 

To answer your question, it depends on which planet. If it's common to get those then use distilling, if it's rare then use titan.

Is there a definitive way to tell if the research sample is rare or not on that planet, or is it just guesswork?
