[Suggestion]Alternative Mods

Greetings Tennos  ,I have been thinking about this topic some times ago

Shouldn't there be a Alternative version of mods ?

I understand DE wants to keep every weapon and warframe has their own characteristic.

But right now , few equipments have almost become standard ,meaning everyone is using linear set.....

 

Because the way the mods work has no benefit for low basis status weapon.

for example : a Vulkar and a Grakata and a DERA

basis damage : 125 vs  9.0 vs 7.0

After a max Rifle dmg buff(150%):

buffed damage:187.5 vs 13.5 vs 10.5 

It makes lower damage guns "Not worth to upgrade"

 

Further more there are many mods worth mention ,such as: increase critical chance (which is completely a joke for DERA)

 

So , i came up with this idea by adding Alternative versions of mods

The main idea is add this "+ pt status" kind of mods

 

For example : a "Rifle +10 point dmg" mod can be useful for lower dmg weapon such as Grakata.

or a "Armor +20" point mod will be helpful for thin armor frames ,such as Ember,but useless for Rhino.

or a "Clip size + 2" .....etc.

 

I understand there will be people arguing this will make guns/frames lost some unique feature.

But for example , I would like a metal plate on jeep if I am going into battle,

and a few metal plates won't make my jeep a battle cruiser ,correct ?

Do you know how overpowering a +2 clip size (which can be further upgraded) on a pistol is? if not, you haven't try Bronco yet

percentage based upgrades are used, imo is to keep the relative roles of weapon constant, so you don't all of a sudden get a 10+ clip shotgun as a sidearm,
