Mr.ToastForPresident Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 Umm, so this is a bit old news, but I haven't seen much people talking about it considering how hyped up OPM is right now. The new anime trailer was released a couple days ago, so decided to read all of the manga during the weekend to see what this show is going to be about. So if your first impression is that this premise is like OPM where we have this OP main protagonist owning everything he sees and is utterly bored, then you are totally wrong. To put in in some ways to understand, if OPM was about an action comedy that puts emphasis on action and comedy with some serious moments sprinkled in, Mob Psycho 100 is an action comedy with emphasis on the action and more serious moments with some comedy sprinkled in. The action is more tense as the protagonist doesn't have an OP one punch move, in some sense. Mob Psycho 100 is about a telekinetic boy (or an esper) named Mob and he keeps his emotional state somewhat stable due to this power. He lives the typical slice of life anime, but when stuff goes down, his emotional state will rise. When this emotional state reaches 100%, things get real, tables will be flipped and undescribable words will come out of your mouth. If you plan to read mob psycho 100, be careful that the art is, uhh, somewhat "unique" and "special". If you can stand the artwork, then you will have a good time.
