Yzjdriel
This is the story of Richard Alistair Kirstienberitch Erich von Tenno, and how (and why) he blew up a Balor Fomorian, among other things. Mostly the other things. MINOR SWEARING WILL APPEAR THROUGHOUT THE STORY. The author(s) assume(s) the following (no spoilers in this one, just a textwall eraser): Spoiler The reader has a basic understanding of Warframe lore and is familiar with the backstory of the Tenno, Orokin, Sentient, Old War, and past Events/Operations BEFORE reading the story. Like, really. It's a fanfiction, not a reboot. Know your shist. Before reading Slippery Slope, the reader has completed The Second Dream. (Fairly obviously, that arc is where the events of The Second Dream take place in the story.) Due to information given in The Second Dream, the following assumptions are also made (THIS spoiler IS here for a reason, and WILL spoil ALL THE THINGS for players who haven't played The Second Dream): Spoiler Whatever is inside the Warframes is humanoid on the outside, breathes air, eats food, has a face, and is capable of living outside the Warframe. <= None of that is stated anywhere in official canon sources, and DE has not elaborated on that point as of yet: this story assumes those conclusions until directly proven wrong (in which case retcons will ensue). If anything about the world in this fanfic is unclear, feel free to send me a message and I'll clue you in. Now that that's out of the way, let's do a story. Click here to read the bloody thing. As far as things that don't exist in the game, but do in the story, there's really only Synergy. For exposition on that topic, click the spoiler below. If you'd rather not give a care and just figure it out as you read, then ignore the spoiler and just read the story. Spoiler Project Synergy was essentially created because shist was about to hit the fan, and noncombat personnel always die when shist hits the fan. Clan Miraalan had a crapload of noncombat personnel in their Dojo, so they put them all on a spaceship and sent them out to this planet they found. The planet, colony, and section of the project that exists on the planet are all collectively referred to as New Eden. More exposition occurs in the story itself. So, yeah. Lemme know what you think and stuff. Edited May 6, 2016 by Yzjdriel
