Mind Boggling Gameplay Quiz For The Devs (93% Of Devs Get This Wrong. Will You?)

Q1a. Little Johnny has set aside 60 minutes this day to play Warframe. Before jumping into a public match to play with other people, he decides to farm the 4 components requires to build a Forma alone, knowing that it will take him an average of 2 minutes per boss run for the respective resources.

If it takes Little Johnny 30 runs to find 1 of each component, how much time does Little Johnny spend playing online and filling up public games? Show your working.

Q1b. The next day, Little Johnny reflects on his incredibly fun experience with Warframe the previous day.

What is the probability of Johnny spending money on this game? Show this compared to the probably of Johnny deliberately withholding money that he would have otherwise spent on the game because of his experience with it. You may use diagrams to assist in your answer.

Q2. Jimmy, James, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jane, Joseph, Jackson, Jake, Jill and Jose are in a clan. Each of them want to farm enough Control Modules for their new clan weapon components.

Will they find enough Control Modules before getting bored, annoyed, frustrated and quitting? Include an explanation of your logic.

On a slightly different note, congratulations to whoever thought of this brilliant plan to get more people playing Bossfarm Rush Beta. You were successful.

edit: should make this OP a bit more constructive.

While I realise that the format of this post is "trolley", these are honest questions that the devs should have asked themselves. Yes, it's a beta, but if the devs get into a habit of throwing bovine stool out before spending 5 minutes to think about the consequences of their actions, it shows a poor foundation and mindset for the rest of the game. Once the beta label is removed, will God grant them a magical tome from where they will learn all the good ways of gamemaking?

And no to the "preteen school logic"; this logic is sound.

Intended:

  - drop rate for farming

  + time spent playing

Actual:

   - drop rate for farming

   + time spent farming

.: - time spent playing

Solo running bosses is faster by virtue of being more efficient and cohesive, easier to organise, and less committed than group killing, even if the group is also max rushing.

Heh, the first 4 responses all start with "While I..."

While i get the point you are trying to make, i believe it has been said they are looking into the poor drop rates of components from bosses.

They also only just got around to fixing the drop rates of some mods on various mob and levels types, so have faith and wait it out for a little longer before trying to use preteen school logic to try and make DE out to be the 'bad guy's' because of a snafu in the loot database.
