[Suggestion] Fixing Artifacts And The Lacking Game Difficulty

DE, please fix the lacking artifact system. Currently, there is no reason to use any other artifact except for Energy Siphon. So, how about a think tank and figure out a more useful system. Here's some ideas on how to improve that system and increase the game difficulty.

 

Remove all artifacts. Just remove them and give everyone with them some sort of reward for every one they have, like some credits or resource. Then, in its place, make the new artifacts reward for completing entire sectors, and change their purpose. Each new "artifact" will increase the risk/reward of the game. They will become dark artifacts, and in some way, add more danger to each level and depending on their odds, increase the current RNG system.

 

Here's a few example:

Rejuvenation: Health orbs no longer drop.

Energy: Energy orbs no longer drop.

Equipment: Ammo boxes no longer drop.

Rush: Enemies move 50% faster.

Berserk: Enemies attack 50% faster.

Madness: Enemies deal 50% more damage.

Fortress: Enemies increase in levels when closer to the objective.

Genetic: Enemies have a random chance to have elemental damage.

 

With each artifact active, it increase exp and the RNG for the player, either by increasing low level mods to higher level mods, or dropping more mods. New mods would have to be added, like some form of reliable Energy regen for Warframes, but overall, it should increase the game as players can choose how hard they want their game. If players can choose which artifacts they want, the game will be as challenging as they can handle and even more so for those that are really into sadistic punishment.

 

It would also bring players closer together as they must prepare for missions, as equippable items become more useful, and players must stick together as the stacks of artifacts can kill off single Tennos.

With the way the stages are built, the way the AI behaves, the enemies being bland, there's not real way to up the difficulty besides making everything a massive HP tank. Everything here only adds simulated difficulty and in no way makes it more difficult to overcome what's in front of you. This game being a shooter just makes it a lot more difficult to make it harder in any other way besides HP tanking.

Imho, the artifact look like a wrong answer to a real need:

This is a co-op game, thus, a way to make warframes more powerfull when in a squad than in solo seems a good idea.

However, I'm not sure artefacts are the good way to do it. I'd rather have more "symbiosis" between warframes powers... Right now, there is almost none (except Mag's Bullet Attractor + Excalibur's Radial Javelin as an impressive boss killer combo).

In the end, artefacts look like a cheap and temporary solution, that will need to be addressed at some point in the future.

U don't need artefact for that, the game is already way easier (too much) when u play with 3 friends
