A few players will have experienced this situation. In my case I've played 180 hours or so and not had Split Chamber drop once.  I'm aware you're working on this but I thought I'd throw this idea out there.

 

The objective is to allow players to actively work towards mods or artifacts that for whatever reason they're having trouble getting a hold of.

 

Players are given a unique alert with a long (perhaps a week) at random intervals (roughly monthly?).  The alert will be a random solo mission with a choice of difficulty and rewards matching the difficulty.

 

The key part to the reward is that players will be able to choose a specific reward. ie that mod you just can't seem to get.  

 

The missions are offered by Orchid, a sort of Black Op's agent, aligned with the goals of the Lotus but not affiliated.  Orchid is focused on defeating the Stalkers.  It would be groovy if the missions could be themed in a way to match the story.

tell me about it.. took me like 1k mods for my Thunderbolt 2 drop..

after it dropped, i got it like 20 mins again after it dropped.. and once more yesterday. I loled xD RNG gods.. they demand blood
