Old weapons/ warframes idea

So my bestest warframe buddy had a great idea yesterday when we were playing: what I'd instead of doing away with old weapons you don't want by selling them for 5000 or 7500 credits, what if you could pay to get them made into a part for something else?  An example would be as follows:  let's say I finally realize that after I built and leveled it, I don't like the akbronco prime as much as I thought I  would.  After all, that fit this weapon's category that I like better.  So I can't sell them for decuts, or trade them to anyone.  Right now I can only sell them back to the market for a measly 5000 credits.  But what If I could take them to some guy in the relay, and he could forge this old weapon into amother random prime part for like 25000 credits (or something)? Or sell it for decutts maybe for like half of the decutt sum of the parts it would take to make my akbronco prime?  Let me know what you guys think!

First off, Ducats*

Second, I didn't think I'd like the sound of this as much as I did. A system of reforging old blades and guns into new parts could end up bad, or end up good.

Personally I like the system of selling fully built primes for half the sum of their (again) Ducats better, instead of selling for credits.
