Spinning Melee Attack - Nerfed?

It appears that the spinning melee attack that occurs after a slide isn't as effective as it used to be. In the past with my dual ether it would allow me to spin twice through enemies and deal a lot of damage, but since the most recent update it only allows one spin. I also couldn't tell if the damage had been lowered for this attack but that might just be my imagination, has anyone else noticed this?

I'm able to use right consecutively. Although I was able to spam it more often with the slide cooldown since the travel time was much shorter with it.

I found that sliding does the same amount of damage as normal attacks now, for all melee weapons.  It's a damn shame, the sliding attack used to be a useful move for melee specialists to approach enemies.  It added variety to a system where charge attacks were the only thing worth using.

Yeah that's what I thought had changed, I used to consider myself a melee specialist since I didn't use my primary or secondary very often. Sadly it's much harder now, I feel like they've gone too far in terms of decreasing damage.

Have the developers confirmed this or anything? It's news to me I thought it was an intentional part of the game, you could still argue that they've nerfed the damage though.

It seems pretty evident that it's a bug from my perspective, and yeah, I used it, even built my bo staff around it but I'm glad to see it gone.

It allowed for dagger-dashing which was certainly unintended and I can't see any reason why they would design it so you could spin twice.
