So what do Oberon Fans love about him?

I really try to like Oberon but I can't. Main issue I have is his abilities are too limited.

Smite could actually be semi decent CC if its projectiles proc radiation instead of puncture or it had AoE like Freeze.

Hallowed Ground is way too inferior to Snow Globe to be remotely useful. While it may be decent as a way to get rid of proc it would require very high str to get decent armor buff and from my experience it's not good idea to build Oberon for str- he's way too power hungry (yes, I've used Rage). With augment it can't serve as proper CC because its area is too small.

Renewal could be decent heal if it didn't have travel time and energy drain- or at least if it wasn't that high. It just doesn't heal enough to justify 5 energy per second. I didn't use augment but it doesn't seem very impressive. One ally per 90s? I think I'll pass.

Reckoning's issue is short range, maybe cast time too. Other than that it's pretty decent CC which also disables Ancients' auras.

And it's pretty much only use I found for this frame. Ancient disabler
