Help with War (Mars boss)

A friend and I have attempted to kill Kril but he's just too strong. May any high level players help us out?

You can do it, just need to have the strategy. When you hit Lech Kril, only hit the backpack. He takes no damage everywhere else. Hit the backpack till one of the hoses pops off, then bait him into a melee/freeze attack. When he freezes himself, hit him for as much as you can. Rinse and repeat. On the 4th(?) time, he will get pissed off and switch to fire damage. Then you can hit him anywhere and take him down. Just be careful because he'll do a lot more damage in the final stage.

I'm a level 30 Volt that specializes in melee attacks. I always seem to get shredded before even attacking his back. My rifle is a level 22 Boltor and 26 Vaso, will that be enough?

Should be fine. If you are playing solo, stay mobile to get behind him to target the backpack. Utilize the zipline above the platform he spawns on to help with mobility and getting a good angle on the backpack. You could even use specters as a decoy to help you get behind him.

If you have a buddy, one person grabs his attention while the other maneuvers for the backpack shot. Switch roles as the situation dictates.

Avoid getting hit with the Gorgon, and learn his mannerisms to anticipate his melee attacks. Ideally you want to stay close enough that he doesn't use the machine gun.

Drop a few shields around the arena to shoot through while on the move to increase your damage. When you get to the final stage (fire mode), just space yourself drop a shield or 2 and just hammer him, he'll go down.

If you are playing solo, I have found it expedient to walk up to him, and provoke him into a melee strike, which turns him around to an extent where with a high Rate of Fire weapon, it would be easy to hit his weak spot. Don't worry about the damage, just shuffle a little in any direction, or just take the hit on your shields.
