Grineer Sawmen

So they no longer carry the saw blades. So why call them sawmen? I propose to rename them to the Grineer Butcher since they carry a cleaver. Anyone have any other ideas for a new name for the sawmen?

I have been wondering this for a while. I do miss the familiar sound of the saw men sometimes :(

 

But yes, a quick name change would suffice.

Why not have both sawmen and butchers? There's bound to be a few sawmen who didn't want their arms back.

And since the grineer started using grineer weapons that were released to us as well, maybe we could get dual sawblades. Turns both hands into spinning sawblades of death that do continuous damage. The tradeoff would be the loud sfx coming from your hands throughout the entire mission.

Make the cleavers into proper axes with larger handles and call them Axemen. :D

 

Seriously, who had the stupid idea of constructing energy cleavers. They are quite absurd.

They certainly aren't military weapons, so what are they used for?

Heh, a sawblade/chainsaw type weapon would actually be pretty cool.

Give them saws again, this feels like an oversight. The sound made by the saws was a nice mechanic to warn new players.
