How can I join mission in progress?

So is there a reliable way to join missions that are already in progress?

Whenn looking on the map I can see squads in the various missions but if I click to start one of these, its completely random if I go alone or if I get matched with a squad

I could be wrong on this, as i havent played for very long myslef however when you click on a mission in progress (thats set so others can join) you should automaticly have a countdown saying "joining somescrub in 5...4...3..."

From what i can gather alot of people like to play alone :/

feel free to add me in game, i usually queue as "online" so anyone can join games im playing :D
