Perhaps it's an intentional, massive nerf to Corpus troops, but Osprey mines no longer explode when the player comes in contact, as they had done for years. Until this last month, players had to watch the floor then Mine Ospreys were about.
The mines do explode when their timers run out, but I do not believe this even damages the player, or if it does, the damage is so minimal that I no longer notice. Toay, the mines function more like Christmas light decorations than anything else.
The change represents a huge advantage against Corpus troops. If it wasn't intentional, I'm amazed it has not yet been addressed. Which leads me to think it was intentional. Was the community calling for a nerf? Perhaps everyone is enjoying the nerf so much no one wants to mention it?
