Just Some Monster Ideas

I was going to talk about stealth, but there seems to be a thread for it! So, I'll just face the big problem with Warframe with its repetitive tile sets and monster spawns. These are just a few monsters that could be added to the game that will greatly increase the level of tactics required in fighting in warframe.

 

Grineer

 

Grineer assassin - much like the Stalker but at a lower difficulty and higher spawn rate, it combats the relative ease of stealthing in Grineer missions, and target lone players in team grineer missions. They manifest either as a sniper or dagger user, and rarely make a sound or talk, they don't even alert if they see you. They either lock the room down inconspicuously, or immediately begin attacking. And they never appear on the minimap. What's so unique about them is that they have the ability to stealth kill much like Tenno, if you're not paying attention and one manages to walk up behind you they can easily take out half of your shield in a strike, and in three you'll be dead, luckily they have very very low hp and armor, and the cloaking assassins are brightly colored. Their AI varies by level.

 

Low Level: Doesn't cloak, but completely silent, attacks quickly and if fails to make a kill, or kills, it will run away.

Mid Level: Cloaks. spawns in empty locker rooms, and air vents, and waits for tenno, Targets players running away from team. If it kills or fails to make a kill it runs away and stalks the weakest player waiting for another chance to strike. May lock the room.

High Level: Cloaks, and completely silent. Has venom. Kills silently, more terrifying killed players won't show up on the minimap until half health. After killing instead of running away it stealths and waits by the dying tenno to strike the tenno who tries to revive him or her, and repeats this cycle until all are dead. If it fails to kill the tenno it stalks the poisoned tenno for an extremely long period until the tenno is distracted like operating a control panel and strikes again. 

 

 

Corpus

 

The AntiFrame - These monsters are built to be the much needed battering ram in defense amping up the difficulty exponentially at higher waves.  It is a large armored humanoid vehicle ridden by a single corpus member, usually equipped with several machine guns, several flame throwers, rocket launchers, or even a fast moving laser. Their shields make unskilled brute force attacks like rockets,or warframe ulti's and skills completely useless, making them a terrifying tile mini-boss or the destroyer of the best defense team in Defense missions as its lightning based melee attack can destroy a cryocore in three or so hits. But once their weaknesses in its shields are known they become easy picking for the fast and accurate, attacking the back head with melee strikes kills it very quickly, firing at the legs slow it down, and shooting from below it does huge damage, they have small amounts of ammo so its possible to short them out or out run them, they're weak to lighting, they can be stealth killed, and their detection range is quite short. So don't be fooled they only look formidable, your outright attacks will be useless (and if you do kill it with blunt force it will explode unable to be ridden ): ), you have to use the tenno edge: brains. A cool plus about these monsters is that once the operator is killed the anti-frame can be ridden until the ammo runs out! You can be a machine of destruction.

 

Low-Level: Very slow, easily distracted by multiple running players, will only guard the point it spawned in.

Mid-Level: Faster, can jump and somewhat climb walls and stairs, will chase the Tenno that alerted it around the room, and adjacent tiles, bursting through their doors. Has shockwave and melee.

High-Level: Can jet to higher floors, and shoot while in the air, it chases the tenno that alerted it until either it or the tenno is dead. If the tenno manages to escape using small exits and entrances (vent or holes) it will block the entrance with its frame. And it pins annoying melee tenno with its frame to the ground..

 

Infested

 

Retched - They are the testament the fusion of organic matter and technology. And can provide organic hell to even the best organized team in a mission and deter looters. They appear first as a pile of sludge on the ground until alerted or stepped on, once activated it manifests as its true form a giant colorful venus fly-trap like flower serrated on every edge. If stepped on it quickly dispatches the unobservant tenno with a melee combo, and begins firing. It alternates between sludge pellets and venom charges that depletes health. Once awakened it can fire for long distances hitting even hiding players. Killing it simply requires shooting at it  or melee as its health isn't large, but if it's dispatched with melee, it'll respawn as a fire plant turret, that can be used to fire at other infested mobs until it's health runs out. But be wary, as its organic systems run deep into ships machinery, allowing it to lock doors and lockers, alert the ship, and melt down the needed metal for its fire.

 

Low-Level: Appears as a pile of goo, trapping and attacking errant tenno. And firing pellets and venomous charge attacks, it will lock doors, and alert ship systems.

Mid-Level: Pellets if they miss will spawn into more tiny Retecheds, which will also fire venom. Killing Rretched with range will cause it to explode in fire damaging Tenno and Infested alike.

High-Level: It can cast  a skill blocking the use of Warframe skills inside it's current room, and fire smokescreens without even manifesting into its full form.
