Oizen
...When we can just go on Warframe alerts twitter and see what they are. Heck isn't that offically run by this place? Seems kinda stupid. It make much more sense just to show us what it is ingame as well Edited July 11, 2013 by Oizen
crow-k
Ask a marketing strategy is my guess. By using outside programs/sites that monitor tracffic they can claim a high traffic rate. It also affects the ads you see in many browsers and facebook type crap. I see your point but can see why they might just maintain the status on this one. Keeps the numbers up. Meenmu
Who knows, maybe it will be part of incoming UI updates soon.
Vangate
Simple psychology, you may check alert and see "Glaive" there, and lets imagine you have one already. So you won't enter this alert, so will thouthands of others do. However by making "?" instead of a particular thumbnail, they tease you into discovering this. This is just what Stalker is for the game, his weapon Bundle "What? Stalker" has "?" over thumbnail, which, composed with his native style of appearing out of nowhere and whenever he wants makes curiosity a factor driving these alerts. Don_Von_Hulio
Or they want people to use the twitter and or the app. I dont use either but im sure there are ads on the alert app which would be an income for DE.
Feldgrep
There is a slight pause between when the alert goes up and when the reward is posted on twitter. I think they have a way of checking the rewards, but they don't make them.
Playford
This is a leftover before all the wonderfull apps came along (shakes walking stick), before you had to wait for someone else to complete the mission and then write about it on the forums. It will be updated eventually.
