Finishers And Grappling

Played Streets of Rage the other day, just remembered how fun it was to grab people and lob them into other enemies or smash them into the ground in a grapple hold.

Thought it might be a good suggestion for warframe.

Although Tenno may not be as big as Grineer and may not be able to throw enemies 50 feet (Excluding Rhino probably) they are ninjas. Masters of momentum and very capable of doing some "Rey Mysterio" type moves.

The games design on manoeuvres and general gymnastics is fantastic, although I feel like there could be a little more added for actually dealing with enemies. Finishers and grappling, throwing enemies all over the place to knock over others. Maybe instead of just ground pounding an enemy after a wall run you can do an assassins creed like finisher, if you land onto of him.

Like the sound of this. Would add more to the melee combat. Different warframes should do different things though, a Rhino doing a 619 or something would be a bit silly, but maybe split it up into light/medium/heavy, like they are going to do with animations.

Its quite a big job to get going but I think it would be well worth it. The most time we use manoeuvres is running between groups of enemies. Less so when actually in combat, a majority of people will simply walk/run around shooting as they go. Implementing grapples, meat shields, etc feels like it should be there.

Light/Medium/Heavy sounds good. Although it may have to depend on the melee weapon class what moves you have instead of warframe? The stealth kill is unique to the weapon.

Plenty of option!

I like this, even more so it would be easy to implement an idea like this by just changing "stealth kills" into "grapples" and allowing players to do them at anytime by getting behind their enemy and it still remains silent but has a smaller multiplier.

Thats why it needs planning. You don't want to be holding onto a runner, something that wants to be close to you and explode. Quickly grabbing it and knocking it into a group of enemies when it explodes, stunning them instead as an idea.

This is a suggestion, not a "how it should be". Open to unique methods of attack based on the enemy and the acrobatic ability of the Tenno.
