The_Promethean
I suggest to have 1 platinum every time we Level UP or rank up, not the rank of our Warframes, but our profile in the game is leveling up. To some users who can't afford platinum, this will be a fair and easy way to earn platinum to the series of Level UP. I am a user who can't afford platinum, so I suggest this idea to earn platinum in many ways, through buying and leveling up. Or, why don't the Devs make players level up with these: Level 1: Initiate 5000 affinity Level 2: Silver initiate: 6000 Level 3: Gold initiate: 7000 Level 4: Novice: 8000 Level 5: Silver Novice: 9000 Level 6: Gold novice: 10,000 Level 7: Disciple: 15,000 Level 8: Silver Disciple: 19,000 Level 9: Gold Disciple: 21,000 Level 10: Seeker: 23,000 Level 11: Silver Seeker: 25,000 Level 12: Gold Seeker: 28,000 Level 13: Hunter: 30,000 Level 14: Silver Hunter: 34,000 Level 15: Gold Hunter: 37,000 Level 16: Eagle: 40,000 Level 17: Silver Eagle: 45,000 Level 18: Gold Eagle: 50,000 --- These Level names are just my ideas: Level 19: Apprentice: 55,000 Level 20: Silver Apprentice: 57,500 Level 21: Gold Apprentice: 60,000 Level 22: Blademaster: 63,000 Level 23: Silver Blademaster: 65,000 Level 24: Gold Blademaster: 70,000 Level 25: Master : 75,000 Level 26: Silver Master: 80,000 Level 27: Gold Master: 85,000 Level 28: Legend: 90,000 Level 29: Silver Legend: 95,000 Level 30: Gold Legend: 99,900 *If you level up to initiate, you should have 3000+ more affinity to level up to Silver initiate.* In each level, you need to have the corresponding affinity to level up to the next level, Lets say: Initiate: 1000 (you need 3000 more to reach the next level, not have 3000 altogether.) In this way, it will be easier to both earn and level up. --------------------------------------------------------------- But there will be a few changes. Every time you lose a revive, your affinity will keep on deducting when leveling up. And every time you lose a mission, you will lose 500 affinity, abort: 150, and lose revive: 200. So it will not be quite easy to level up. Edited July 17, 2013 by The_Promethean
Namacyst
How about... If you want Plat, pay up! There should be no alternative to that in the game. But outside of the game there are many ways to get Plat through GiveAways and Contests. Edited July 17, 2013 by Namacyst

MXXVI
While the OP has clearly given this some thought... I'm gonna have to side with the nay-sayers, and say nope. The game is already very liberal with its content - just the other day, I even acquired the Glaive blueprint from a login reward. Also, I have to question the notion of "can't afford platinum". If you're playing Warframe, it means you have broadband, and a gaming PC capable of running some damn fine visuals. A little while back, I received a "50% off plat" discount from a login reward, and promptly spent about £4 on enough plat to get a whole pile of slots. I now have 7 Warframes. If you genuinely can't afford a few £ or $ or euros or whatever, then I have to question your priorities...
