Single Target Skills Utility Fix

I will adress the problem with some certain single target skills, specifically: Mag's Bullet Attractor and Trinity's Well of Life and Energy Vampire.

Those skills have a certain fix duration, this means, the skill was thought to last a ceratin amount of time, lasting until the target is dead would make them OP, so it was fix by it's duration and the requirement of more energy if you want to have them active during all the boss encounter.

Yet, what happens when most of the enemies die way too fast? Since the main focus of, for example, Energy Vampire is to recover energy, killing and enemy almost instantly certainly doesn't fit the purpose, costing more energy than what it heals. Also for bullet attractor, with it's nice effect but a considerable 75 energy cost, you end up only using it on bosses/heavy units, for any other mob is just an energy waste.

At the moment, once you kill the enemy, the effect disappears - this mean all the extra durationis wasted. What about making the extra duration effective? I know Mag's bullet attractor will become volatile the target dies before it ends, dealing a some sad AoE damage...but I don't feel it's enough, plus, this isn't effective for Trinity.

So, posible solutions:

AoE Aura: If you consider Mag's actual solution to be enough, you could apply a similar effect to Trinity. Making the skill linger on, as an "aura" or cloud, or whatever, giving a reduced effect of the single target spell on an AoE area. Enemies inside the aura would be affected by the effect as long as it has remaining duration and as long as they are on that spot. The downside to this, is that only a crowded place would be good for this, and sometimes, there's loads of enemies, but dispersed around the map, making this extremely situational. Better than before, but still not a real solution.

Chains: To put it simple, once the target dies, it would chain to the nearest enemy in a X meter radius (let's say...25?). And continue normally until it's duration ends.

Targeting: The same way as NOVA can control her Antimatter drop, you could have the effect turn into an orb/projectile that you could move around to choose your own target. This duration could be around 3 seconds that would NOT be considered in the duration of the power. Also, if no target is selected, you could just end the effect or make it automaticaly chain to the nearest target until the duration ends.

Have a nice day! :)
