Prey? Hunter? Player Is The Second While Should Be The First.

Well, let's face it, you starting this game as awaken ancient overpowered ninja, got your a** saved by the bunch of already awoken ninjas and somehow got off from the freezer land. And then chase is awaited, since nobody will let dangerous elements to get away if he doesn't want it and actually imitating a fight. Still, the rest of the game is about raiding facilities, stealing goods, murdering and calling it cool'n'funny. You are the goddamned pirate of the space, who shows no love to anything that's not a Tenno. And still, the only chaser is very cheap-mystery-bad-integrated guy with bow, kunai and scythe, who seems to got laid with any organic substation considering the fact that he takes you on pencil no matter if you are killing some Grineer guys, Corpus workers or J3-golem, ahem, thing.

 

Off course, we have defense missions with "Our position has been compromised, defend our cargo untill reinforcements arrives". And you are standing like a bloody idiot on criocamera, which wisely called a bulb by players. Seriously, it simply NOT ENOUGH to draw away the feel of being a supreme power that pwns thousands for profit and lulz (I know that whole game about shooting and slashing for lulz and farming for crafting things to get more lulz via more shooting and slashing).

 

What should we have? I suggest 2 things

1)More chasers. Your squad jumps in the ship and in the middle of party the real killers hop in. Rogue Tennos or, let's say, more-specialist-type of basic units with parts of techs salvaged from other Tennos/Orokin. And, not alone. Good, heavy battle that really feels like battle for your existence. Easily got by, for example, Frost globe and Nova blasts working against you while some fragile guy in invisibility switched with your Trinity and ramming floor with fragor, not letting you put a finger up.

2)New mission type like ESCAPE. The enemies heavily outlevel and outnumber you, revives by "tricking death" 4 times a day/more with plat is disabled, some enemies can see you through invisibility and no resource/mod drops compensated by huge reward if you managed to survive. Off course, rewarded only those who actually survived, not died in the middle and waited to the end.

I think it's been suggested that Grineer and Corpus hit squads should be introduced, which I approve of. I also love the escape mission idea, having to leg it to the extraction before you get overwhelmed is kind of what I expected this game to be like in the first place. Perhaps the second part of a 2 stage mission though.

Having said that, the idea of enemies that ignore your abilities or stunlock you to death without a chance to fight back is not the way to do this. That's not a challenge, that's a random chance of being killed, a roll of the die.
