I like the stats the Volt helmet gives, just not the big freakin eyeball that comes with it. Anyway, I don't think this would require moving mountains, just an option on the main menu or even the arsenal to toggle it on and off. Adding a helmet toggle so you can take stats only or stats and looks affects no one negatively and is probably pretty easy to code, though not necessarily depending on how they handled helmets.
