RaaTheGodEater
If there's a group that gets auto-partied, the person with the best connection should be the host. I'm tired of joining games where the host has a terrible connection and everything lags to death.
Jhakoon
i just wonder how to determine the best connection. the system would need to evaluate upload as well as connection speed between all four players.
HellEnforcer
The problem becomes that maybe all the players of that session have a good connection, but the host happens to be on the other side of the world... However, I do not know if the game is global like that as of now. In any case, this should be implemented if it is not already. Sometimes it really is because the host has either a bad computer or bad connection... Edited August 2, 2013 by HellEnforcer
Saenol
The game would have trouble doing an in depth evaluation of each connection and even a host with a pristine connection can result in a poor client experience if the host's system cannot keep up. Asking the game to do more than ping people a few times is asking a lot, and raw ping doesn't say much.
Skywalker666
The connexion isn't all, the computer matters a lot. I have myself a pretty good connexion, but a now-old laptop which can barely run the game. Parties I host are laggy, for me and others. A simple solution would be a tick in the option "Accept to host parties", and people with low-end computers or connexions could untick this, less lags for everybody.
