Does Smite Infested Affect Charge Damage?

I have a Fragor with the Charge build, in order to maximize my AOE damage.I use it specially against infested because it is the weapon with best AOE in the charge attack and damage from the game iirc.

 

Will the Smite Infeste mod and other simillar mods increase my charge damage? Will it also work against ancients?

Smite infested will work with charges, but I don't think it will be the best for dps the mod it self is low in terms of ratios. Also the Orthos is the best for dps in terms of charge attacks.

Seeing as it applies to base damage, I would assume it applies to base charge damage as well

Orthos and Fragor deal exactly the same charge damage:

Difference is that Fragor has more attack power.

I use this build with my Mag. I pull them, remove the shield (if necessary), Ulti, and then I charge attack until they are dead (1 or 2 do it fine, even for 60++).

 

What do you think is wrong with my build? (I use charge attacks mainly!!!!!)

 

Also, does elemental damage increase the charge attack? (like fire and ice and electricity) I am not sure :S

Elemental applies, so does the new NM mods which are great, also the Orthos has faster charge speed, meaning more DPS. Fragor is good for normal swings do to the armor ignore, even look at the skin.

 

Best build for DPS, or at least I could come up with in 3 minutes...

Reflex, Killing Blow, Melee Channel, Focus Energy, Molten impact or Northern Wind, Sundering Strike, Rending Strike, and then 

Reach for utility or the other elemental mod you did not choose ex: Northern Wind for damage

By faster charge speed you mean the Orthos is 0.037 seconds faster.... Not ground breaking if you ask me. In fact, I believe that is a Wiki error, since they also say that Orthos Prime is exactly the same as normal Orthos, and orthos prime has a charge speed of 1.7 seconds as well (same as Fragor).

Every second counts, but try the one I listed above, it should yield you "a ton of damage".

Actually its the opposite. Faction damage mods, iirc, alter the BASE damage of the weapon when attacking the faction. This means that mods like killing blow, in the case of Orthos, will scale off of 260 charge damage and not 200 charge damage.
