The problem with Vodyanoi

As most of you are have likely noticed, Vodyanoi bears many striking similarities to the Index game mode;

  • in both modes you play against seemingly randomly selected and balanced enemies that appear to be designed to mimic the OpFor of your standard deathmatch style game
  • they both reward two of the game's core currencies, one is designed to pay out Credits while the have become the designated Endo
  • one is Grineer flavored while the other Corpus flavored
  • they're both specifically stated to be competitive games in regards to in-universe lore

There is however, one very striking difference between these game modes.
In the Index, team composition is extremely flexible. Only one "carrier" is really required, and many of the tanky frames can fill this role and you're almost guaranteed to get one player with one even in random groups. As for the rest of the squad, you can bring pretty much anything.
You can drop in with a frame of your choosing, play your round, then drop out with your 200,000 or maybe 400,000 credits, then queue again. It is the most efficient Credit farm in the game almost completely regardless of your choice of frame.

Vodyanoi however is a very different story.
It is the best place to get Endo, but to do so efficiently you require a very specific setup. 2 Nekros, a Hydroid and a Nidus. Additionally, 3 of these 4 frames need to be running quite specific builds. There is nothing more tedious, monotonous and quite frankly anti-fun as having to run the same mission over and over with the same frame, and this is worsened by the fact that this grind is for one of the most important resources in the game.

DE, please take a look at Vodyanoi and try to tweek it so the Endo payout isn't so utterly dependent on such a rigid set up. A possible solution could be to have tiered investment levels similar to the Index, for example, tier 1 could require a 100 Endo investment for a payout of 500, tier 2 a 200 Endo investment for a payout of 1000, tier 3 a 300 Endo investment for a payout of 1500.

This would also alleviate the problem of being pretty much required to form a premade to run Vodyanoi efficiently and make it much more accessible to people who prefer the "drop in, drop out" play style that Warframe is supposedly designed for.
