Clan/Alliance Moderation Tweak

Hello,

I'd like some revision/tweaking of moderation rank works in game at the alliance level which also can apply to the clan level.

Problem Statement:

Currently moderation is at the "right" level for each clan in an alliance. In other words, the alliance leader can assign moderation rights via a slider under alliance management. This means that if we want to give moderation to an individual that can help with in game alliance moderation, we have to give his/her entire clan the moderation rights, which means anyone in that clan who has moderation rights at the clan level can moderate the alliance chat in game. Based on my personal experience, this ultimately causes conflicts with internal clan rank structure or the player has to quit their clan and join one in the alliance that can handle this moderation change. This is not ideal and I have been in a situation where this happens. Other people in a clan that has moderation rights, abuse the moderation in alliance chat. This is more difficult if the clan is like a mountain or moon clan as their structure and ranks are difficult to adjust.

Potential Solution:

Instead of making moderation part of the rights (via slider on alliance management menu), add a new menu item under alliance management menu (where you can edit MoDT etc) called  Moderation. And, when we click on moderation, we get a new UI such as "Assign" "Remove"  If we click on Assign, we get list of players in alliance where we can click on one and make them a mod for alliance chat and Remove is pretty obvious. This way, moderation is managed at the alliance level and doesnt need to intrude the clan rank/hierarchy.

This whole thing could also apply to clan as well  not just the alliance. There are many nuances I understand, but I would like to see/hear some feedback.

Thanks!

Not gonna happen if you want it that way. Imagine if the clan is a moon clan with maximum 1000 members. Imagine the long list of drop down.

However..the idea of having a moderator individually selected regardless of their rank in their clan is indeed pretty nice.

And there is an easier way of doing the coding instead of adding a new drop down in the alliance clan member list.

If you see the chat box, you notice that you can see who is online in the alliance chat by activating the 'player' icon beside the emoji icon, that way you can see people who is online from the alliance which you can interact with normal stuff like kick/ban/chat/profile etc. There we can add moderation role to each individual. It is possible that way.

about the way moderation things happened. There is a way to counter the poor mechanism....that is called..inter-clan communication.

With better management, alliance can actually select a individual which is good and active to moderate the alliance chat by simply giving the person a specific permission, which is moderation permission in clan which then you can create an independent role just for that sole purpose. a person with that permission will have access to moderate alliance chat in addition to the warlord of the clan.

So simple thing....speak to the respective warlord that you want to bring up a certain person to moderate the alliance chat and let the warlord set the specific moderator role in their clan so he can assign the person and voila. But again, you have to reach agreement with the warlords because you may think the guy is good but not on his warlord point of view.

Anyway...having an alliance is all about communication.
