I was wondering if we can have rank-adjustable modules?

 

E.g. You have a rank 5 Vitality mod, but you need to use it on a frame that only has the capacity for a rank 3. You can then adjust it accordingly to make it fit.

 

The limit would obviously be, that the maximum rank that a mod can adjust to, is the rank that it has attained the highest.

 

This would help with the flexibility of the builds because currently, once you rank a mod up, you'll need to find/fuse the same mod all over again if the need arises to use a lower rank mod.

 

In all honesty though, I just came up with this very recently and haven't really thought about it. This should also help because of the new drop table making the hunt for certain mods a lot harder.

 

So, what do you guys think?

At one of the livestreams there was talk about defusing mods at a cost, but nothing has been said or done about it since.

The only solution to this problem the current system gives you is to have the same mod at different levels.

I don't think this is a bad idea, but I think DE has a reason to give mods a "hard" level.
