In-Game Chat

I understand, and agree with, the decision to keep the chat window low-impact during missions. I'd like to see the window remain visible a little longer when something is said, but hey. My main concern is with regard to Clan chat. When in game, squad chat and clan chat are 2 separate tabs, meaning you can read one but miss the other. This happens to me all the time. My suggestion would be a fairly simple one:

 

1. Combine both tabs into a single tab

2. Whisper is already color coded (purple), do the same for clan (green)

3. /w for whisper, /c for clan, just type for squad

 

This would prevent players from missing conversation and information and allow for more seamless gameplay since they won't have to open the chat window, click on the correct tab, type and hit enter, then reopen the chat window and switch back to the other tab.

 

Thoughts? Improvements?
