Ngozi98
It's been years since Syndicate missions have been implemented, and little has been done to purge the earth of Grineer scum enhance our game play! As it stands, syndicates (the original six, not including conclave, Cephalon Simaris, Cetus, etc.) only go as far as parading around with stickers, picking up shinny orbs and shooting their enemies because they say to do so. It's a solid daily grind, but it's not the attractive bubble of content newer players have been hoping for! I've been collecting feedback from other players who also think syndicate operations can use to somework. The following were ideas from our awesome community (including me. ) (I need a better tittle.) 1.) Collectibles Many players have shared their views that the marks just, aren't rewarding. The idea of '6/8' marks being good enough doesn't motivate players to search out the remaining 2. It's bad enough that you get less marks for joining the mission late, but marks being only 500-1000 standing each makes it unmotivating to foxtrot 1,200 meters from extraction to get the last one. Some game modes also don't even spawn collectibles. To motivate players to actively complete syndicate missions and search out collectibles, the following were suggested; Collectibles should spawn in every mission, including defense and interception to improve consistency. A tracker could be nice if it was added to see how many are left to find during a mission too. There should be a mild increase in the reputation gained from collecting marks. At the moment it's pretty rare to see a tier 3 collectible, and the majority are tier 1-2. Even if all 8 are found and are all tier 2, that's 8k reputation, which is above the average rates from collectibles. To deal with this, we hope for more balance among the reputation given for each collectible, say 500/1000/3000 for each tier, but no tier ones after reaching the highest level of standing with a fraction. Likewise, the higher tier marks should not be touched by inpure creatures handed out to lower fraction-leveled members of a syndicate. Everyone likes to be paid, so give us a reason to work overtime!. There should be an extra reward for finding all 8 collectibles. Many players tell me it is demotivating when that last one is just 500 more reputation. Of course, it should remain optional to find these reputation rewards, but there should be a nice bonus for finding all 8, such as bonus reputation, or maybe a buff or some sort. 2.) Syndicate Missions Syndicate missions themselves are a drag too. The same cycle of "defend the cyropod" or "capture the target" doesn't really portray the ideals of each fraction. We're hoping that the mission types will show the true nature of the fraction leaders. For example, we could escort Traders for The Perrin Sequence to various groups they trade with, like the inhabitants of the Mycona Colony of Eris in defection-like manner. Cephalon Suda perhaps could ask us to scan things for her, like moss, orokin technology, rare plants on earth, or what ever makes her such a curious Cephalon. Steel Meridian could run do supply runs for their colonies or defend them from Grineer/desert skates/wild kubrows, or fight for the colonies that the Steel Meridian protect. Red evil... Heh. Violently purge they say... And so forth. The point is, there's a craving for additional content, and the syndicates are a place where this can be satisfied. 3.) Syndicate vs Syndicate We also wish Syndicates could fight each other. ***Syndicate vs Syndicate; Dark sectors, conclave, and beyond. ****More rewards Edited July 23, 2018 by Ngozi98 Continued typing, takakaka.
