General Feedback

I understand my confusion between Hek and Regor. You can still apply the concepts, even better now that he is melee focused.

Just posting some feedback on various things I'd like to see in game or changed. I'm sure many people will not agree, I just wanted my ideas out there.

Regarding Vor: His new move-set makes him a challenging and fun foe to combat. But I feel as though relocating the boss fight to the Hanger area present in levels using the Grineer Asteroid tile set would make fighting him an even better experience. This large room would allow for a more diverse fight to compliment his new move-set, along with the inclusion of increased mob spawns. This would also mask/fix the issue of Vor teleporting below and onto (and sometimes into...) the platform. Having to jump off, then walk back up and down, around the platform is tedious.

Regarding Shield Lancers/"Grineer Assault Teams": The Shield Lancer is nothing more than an annoyance at any level. Here are my suggestions to fix them, and create better gameplay. But first you need to take a look at "Grineer Assault Teams". Often times to alert the player to incoming enemies Lotus will say something along the lines of "A Grineer Assault Team is heading your way"; this is followed by random enemies bum-rushing your locale. This is not fun and really highlights how useless the Shield Lancers are.

I suggest making the enemy in general react to the player and their peers better. When "An Assault Team is heading our way" have the Lancers spill in first with Melee units behind them. Have the Lancer accompanied by melee units rush the player as fast as possible with the melee unit following up the disable caused by the Lancer. Following this initial/ or during this; you have your ranged units spill in with one larger obvious "commanding unit surrounded by additional Lancers. These Lancers will have different shield that not only provide cover but reflect bullets sporadically back into the room. Make the Lancers Actively try to absorb and block shots for fellow Grineer; because what we have now is lacking and not fun. Lancers are often the last unit standing not because they are difficult to kill, but because they provide no offensive or defensive threat to the player.

Regarding Long-swords: The only truly effective long-swords would be the machete for its multi-hit animation, and the Plasma/Pangolin sword for their critical chance. In most ways the longsword is out classed, and lots of people have had great ideas (not saying mine is) but what about allowing long-swords not only to reflect bullets when blocking but to redirect them at a targeted area/enemy. Another way of buffing them without touching damage stats is to allow them to not only block, but counter melee strikes from enemies. This would make them more effective when fighting Infested but it could be argued that being able to hit more than one enemy at a time is a clear tradeoff.

Regarding the Ankyros: They look silly and clip horribly. Make the blades/blunt portion of the gauntlets retract into the base portion when not in use, then deploy when the Tenno strikes. Not only will this look cool, but alleviate the clipping.

Regarding Hek:He is incharge of Grineer cloning, shouldn't the fight take place in a cloning facility? Lotus puts great emphasis on how vital he is and how his research cannot see the light of day. I feel that he deserves his own tileset or at least needs to be moved to the Grineer colonies tileset when it is released. Here is just how I'd picture a fight going with him; either two ways depending on his character:

A physical fighter: The Tenno enter the heart of the facility to find Hek waiting. The room is expansive, but the area Hek is standing on seems different. The Tenno step onto the platform only to have it start moving rapidly downward. A contained skirmish breaks out, as Hek and the Cell lower deeper into the facility. You could use this to showcase the Engine by having randomly generated floors pass by as they plunge into the heart of the facility. Upon beating this first stage, you end up in the very basement of the facility. A dark room with a massive terminal being the only source of light. Hek stumbles toward it and begins to interact with the large computer. Two clones of Hek drop down as Hek himself regains his stamina and shields. Upon dispatching the clones Hek laughs and flips a rather large lever turning on the lights overhead to reveal a massive legion of Hek clones in stasis. He then disappears into the room using hit and run tatics/posing as the clones to combat the Tenno Cell, along with releasing some of the clones from stasis to aid him.

A defensive fighter: The Tenno reach the heart of the facility and see Hek at a very large terminal, but realize he is behind a forcefield. He taunts them as he has clones of himself spill into the room. The Cell must fight off these waves then dispatch of the generators powering the shield. Hek is now exposed and will fight the Tenno with the occasional aid of clones, much as he does now.

THE KEY PART OF THE FIGHT After defeating Hek the Tenno must destroy not only the remaining Hek clones (as they are made with his new technique to negate the ailments caused by excessive cloning) but his research as well. Breaking stasis pods of Hek's clones and equipment containing his discoveries/research. Maybe even steal some of the discoveries and make a Tenno carry a data unit to the Boss fight, extracting the info then exiting the facility.

Regarding Extraction and a new game feature: What if the Tenno failed to avoid being detected? The Grineer/Corpus are aware of your presence and have destroyed your extraction pods. For this to make sense you would need to have them destroyed upon someone reaching extraction. Have a mini boss who once triggered via proximity detonates your extraction pods, closing the hatches. You then must defeat him and hold out till the Lotus can send a new ship. This of course would be a random event, since it would be annoying to have to do this every time; but would spice up the rather repetitive nature of missions. You could also take this concept and apply it to hostage rescue missions. In lore it is stated that the ships the Tenno use can only hold 4 people and the pilot. Players often see the hostage just standing near the open hatch exposed to space while the Tenno fly off, only to be swarmed by enemies. This is currently being explained by the Lotus something to the affect of "We will send another ship for the hostage". Why not send "The Extraction Team" who are so frequently mentioned to pick them up first? Then have the Cell who escorted him/her (Lotus always calls it a him) conduct a wave or timed defense until the new extraction pods arrive. This could be a great chance to explore lore as well as cleanup a gaping lack of logic when it comes to conducting a rescue mission. By sending "The Extraction Team" we get to see who else operates with the Lotus. Are they other Tenno? Robots? Sentient ships? You could also vary the gameplay by randomizing whether "The Extraction Team" is already waiting or if you need to hold out until their arrival. This creates multiple scenarios which spice up the gameplay and fix the obvious lack of common sense in the way the Lotus operates.

This could also create a new unique interaction with your clanmates or random Tenno Cells. What if alerts were not just for rewards but calls for aid from other Tenno? Say you get the random event of your pods have been blown up, an alert pops up for people of the calculated mean from the range of Tenno currently on that mission. You then do some sort of spaceflight mission to go rescue the Cell in need. This could be random; if the RNG says the Lotus cannot afford any ships for the time being, it triggers this event reaching out to individuals and other clans. You would still receive the event where Lotus CAN afford a new ship to come after you, in which case the static defense mission commences. But if Lotus cannot afford the ship, the time you spend defending completely depends on how much time the contacted Tenno take to respond and embark on the rescue. In the case where the RNG picks the Alert rescue, you must relocate to a different part of the ship to meet up with the Tenno aimed to rescue you. Since they are not using the pods this makes sense as the ship cannot dock where the Lotus ships dock. You could make the ships customizable with mods which affect travel time, defenses, and offense. Have the ship be like Republic drop ships in that they have a side or rear door that docks with seating like a helicopter so you can see your rescuers.

Regarding the Life Support game mode replacement

The life support game mode makes no sense. Why would the faction who's life support systems are damaged throw their men at the Tenno and not attempt to repair the life support systems they also need? This ties in with the fact that there are no civilian/engineer characters in the game. Everyone is a warrior with a singled minded focus until the RNG says "Sound the alarm! Lock them in for no reason! Don't spill gas into the room or use the time they are locked in to setup an ambush". -___-

You're thinking about Tyl Regor. Vay Hek is the corrupt politician.

Regarding Extraction and a new game feature: In lore it is stated that the ships the Tenno use can only hold 4 people and the pilot.

Where in the lore does it say that? AFAIK from the darkSector concept, the ships we use is a single occupant ship with the one passenger bay being in the underside of the ship, covered by shutters. It's four separate ships, not one large dropship.

What? Life Support game mode? @-@

Or do you mean the AI's self-preservation (or lack thereof)?

EDIT: IIRC DEvs have already said that rescue will get reworked.

And I abhor your suggestion of adding a timed/wave defense at the end of Rescue missions. I don't need that kind of "excitement" after escorting that damned hostage through everything.

I looked for one of the following, game breaking issues:

- Terrible performance on med/high spec systems (always CPU limited). Lets do some Mutex DE, performance yes?

- Matchmaking issues (disconnects, lag, crashes etc)

- No mention of dedicated servers to resolve the issues (DE uses your money, works on PS4 version and then says "Buy a PS4 and play dedicated server warframe")

- Completely broken weapon balance system (armor ignore = all you need)

- No end game (wave 5/70/100 xini is the same, no reward whatsoever, no reason to actually challenge yourself)

Couldnt find em in your post :(

CPU bottleneck is a hindrance, but not really a big one. IMHO they wanted to deliver a consistent experience to everyone, and not just those with the best hardware, and a redux version for mid-lo PC users. An Extreme/Over9000 graphics setting would be awesome for people with PCs that can support it. But if it already does 100++fps consistently anyways, what's there to gripe about?

Is PS4 Warframe really going to be on dedicated servers? All we know, it might still be P2P like Dark Souls was for PS3. And we don't know what the money from platinum/Founder purchases gets used for, so let's not throw baseless accusations around. (unless of course, you see Steve driving a gold-plated BMW or something)

Armor2.0 is supposedly in the works, alongside another round of weapon balances.

No Endgame has been voiced to death. They need suggestions, not more threads about how there's no endgame.

You haven't a clue what your talking about. No offense.

The game IS cpu limited on all current gen hardware (do some research and look at player reports of GPU usage at 25%)

Its got non-existent multithreading, and, i even believe the hosts server runs on the same thread/loop updates as their client. Lovely!

"CPU bottleneck a hindrance?" its a gamebreaker and an insult to every programmer.

My mistake about Hek. I feel like a jackass, you could presumably apply the same ideas to him. But with an overall better execution seeing as he is melee only. I kept confusing them because Hek has clones and the lead clone researcher does not. But the life support game mode was confirmed 2 streams ago.

Dude chill out. These are my opinions. I brought up things I found personally. Why would I bring up already mentioned, discussed issues? Don't be a $&*^.

Then start a thread about them? You criticized my post for not containing your complaints, who does that? Also your complaints have all been addressed or are non existent.

None taken, I'm not very knowledgeable in that side of things. Guess I'm so used to playing games at quite low specifications that as long as it's smooth, it's fine.

Anything done towards optimisation is greatly appreciated, but not utilising everything isn't a gripe for me.

Are you playing Warframe or Saints Row 4?

Chill out theGreatZamboni, we all have opinions, let people express them.

You are missing the point. You criticized my observations for not being exactly what you feel is wrong or needs to be changed. You added nothing to my discussion. You said " I don't see these things in your post, so nothing you have to say matters. This is what is REALLY wrong and needs to be changed." Your initial post was abrasive, ignorant and did nothing to serve a discussion about bettering the game. You even went as far as to include sarcastic frown to send home the point that you care not about what I had to say, but only to service the implied notion your complaints/ideas are more valid/superior as if to suggest I am off base with my critique. If you are following the development you would know most of your issues have been addressed, just not fixed.
