[Weapon Concept] Methlicca Machine Pistol

  The Methlicca is a Full-Auto Machine Pistol, featuring moderately high damage with hight rate of fire. Most unique feature is the ability to power a forward facing energy shield. The shield is charged by the weapons firing mechanism. 

 

  Appearance: The Methlicca is inspired by the iconic C96 Mauser Auto Pistol. This weapon was the model for Han Solo's blaster, or gamers might recognize the 9mm Red 9 variant from Resident Evil 4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauser_C96

 There are number of variants of the Mauser that could be the baseline for the Methlicca. The attached shoulder stock, and extended barrel are possibilities.

Special Ability

Shield Generator: Methlicca generates a shield 1 meter infront of the barrel. The shield produces 100 points of overshield protection. The overshield starts at zero but charges up 5 points for ever 1 round fired (5:1). Increased magazine capacity mods only allows the player to the shield to reach the full 100 overshield charge with one magazine. Damage mods, however will increase the max overshield. Every point of total damage the Methlicca does increases the overshield capacity by 2.5. Methlicca's max overshield capacity is 600.
