[Warframe Concept] (Stealth) Chain Frame

I've had this idea kicking around for a while of a frame that uses chains in all or most of his abilities, and being focused on stealth as well as damage, with very high armor but low shields and medium-low health (to turn people away from the use of shield mods, and encourage armor ones, as well as just avoiding damage - but not being completely squishy, as he doesn't have much damage focus to his abilities)

 

Overall, the theme of him would be stealth and Chains/Knives attached to the end of Chains. His abilities can be adjusted depending on how stealth eventually turns out. 

 

I had pictures I had drawn of the idea, but I'm too lazy to scan/upload them... the basic idea of looks would be a thin but muscular frame, possibly with a prison clothes theme to his design... in my concepts he had shackles that hovered above his wrists and ankles and a somewhat blocky head, that had a single energy-colored line running down from the top of his forehead to his pelvis. 

 

WIP Title: Lockdown (just because I'm not good at naming things, and you need to call it something while working on it)

 

1st Ability: grappling hook. If DE decides to implement them into the regular game, then they can change this ability, but otherwise I think it is rather fitting. Lockdown fires a chained knife at the cursor with X range. If it strikes an enemy then that enemy is pulled to Lockdown, without alerting the surrounding enemies. A stealth kill attack is enabled briefly after the pull.

 

If the cursor is just on an object or wall, then Lockdown is pulled to the object or wall, and he hangs there in the wall-run animation, able to fire from that location for a few seconds. If the target is the ceiling he hangs there also able to fire. This can be chained, to potentially move through a room from wall to wall, or to drag enemies out of an unalerted group to a safe platform for silent elimination. All focused on stealth and utility. 

 

2nd Ability: Hyper-Fitness (crap name!)... I had lots of ideas but my favorite is Increased jump height, lower stamina use, faster wall runs, etc... all to the effect of increasing his ability to maneuver... (Debated Invisibility skill, but there's so many, and infinite stamina for X seconds, but thats boring... ) 

 

 

Alt 2nd: Knife Storm: A ball of whirling chains appears at the target location, and after a few seconds chained knives shoot out and impale X enemies nearby, then drag them back to the target location. 

 

 

3rd Ability: Visions. The lights go out (not pitch black, but similiar to Volt's overload after-effect). Lockdown and allies see the outlines of enemies, including through walls, for Y seconds. Security Terminals in X range take 2x longer to activate the alarm, and enemies visual range is decreased, meaning Tenno have to be closer to be recognized. If the alarm is already on, they need to be closer to be fired at. This ability does not alert enemies (call it a power surge or an accident).

 

The loss of enemy vision would be applied in open areas also, giving it utility in non-stealth missions. For Infested, it could just slow them, since a loss of visual range on them is everything, being melee fighters that need to get close.

 

4th Ability: (Silent Noose or The Low Hanging Fruit). Lockdown's CC ability (and the stupid WIP Title's source) nearby enemies are wrapped in chains and propelled towards the ceiling (hover about 3 Tenno high in the air in open maps) where they hang, slowly taking a small amount of damage, for X seconds.

 

Ideally they would be held high enough that enemies can pass under them unalerted, and in small contained areas they will be held tight to the ceiling. If that is not possible code-wise, it still makes for a good CC ability, and maybe the damage can be a little higher. The main focus though is the CC aspect.

 

Alt 4th Ability: ExecutionJust a big scary ultimate... the screen rumbles for a moment after the cast animation starts, and then chained knives shoot out from the ceiling (or floors if there is no ceiling) and impale X targets nearby with multiple knives. They are then dragged up (or pushed up, if coming from the floor) a certain distance, and dropped. 

 

Glad I got that idea out... I know DE doesn't really take ideas from here, but I had to throw it out there, it was killing me... I think it would be very fun to play, but then again every Warframe idea sounds fun to play...
