Tweaks For The New Forum Skin [Suggestions]

Anyway i feel the need to write something aswell:

 

First of all i wanna say that the new theme looks gorgeous, i really like it! From the home page to everything, really, it looks cool.

The problems come when you wanna read... and when you wanna keep reading for more than 10 consecutive minutes.

 

The white is too bright;

the prints are too thin, hard to see, especially when u you use colors;

It is not eye friendly when you are tired or u've been in front of a monitor for long time or in low light rooms;

it consumes way more energy.

 

Suggestions:

 

If you wanna keep the white around i can understand it but make the writing/reading boxes of some shade of grey... even light grey ok, but it gotta be darker... toned down.

Prints gotta be a little "bolder" than now

 

1 thing i dont understand:

why the old theme "cant be updated"?

I mean... i've managed many forums on platforms like "forumfree" and such...

a skin never affected the contents. it's just... a skin!

 

i was like "wtf?"

The point is(besides the relevant ones), is that people tend to wanna keep the things they're used to. There is a wonderful button on the bottom left you can click to return to the old theme. Otherwise, I suggest you continue business as usual, you will adapt. As ever.

did u even read my post?

i said that i like the new theme but, at the same time, it hurts my eyes!

I'm suggesting tweaks not keeping the old one!

 

(and yes, i know about the button and i already switched to the old one, not because i dislike the new one, or i like more the old one; because if i stare 5 more mins at all this white it is gonna make my eyes bleed)
