Edit: Nerfed and balanced several effects. To be updated at a later date for Nekros and Valkyr.

TL;DR at the bottom.

This is a project that I work on when I'm bored. I have no intent of trying to force these into the game.

The title is a bit misleading, but I really couldn't find any better one's without misleading you any more.

This post is about melee weapons which can be used by all Warframes, but have a bonus effect on one particular Warframe.

Will update over time.

Ash: Rope-dart (or if you'd prefer the Japanese name, Kyoketsu Shoge)

A long-range melee weapon which attacks enemies with a small dagger-like tool attached to a rope. Alternate fire throws out the weapon, entangling any enemy hit and subsequently knocking them down with a pull from the user.

Extra effect on Ash: Staggers on hit, and continuously attacking a target will increase attack speed, up to a maximum of +30%.

Banshee: Tessen

A weapon inspired from both Korean and Japanese culture, the Tessen is a war fan. With blades at the edge, it deals small but quick implements of damage in a short range.

Extra effect on Banshee: Gain an alternate fire, which drains 5-10 energy to launch 3 blades in a cone in front of you, dealing high damage and staggers enemies hit. Cooldown of 30 seconds.

Ember:

Excalibur: Ius (Latin for law or justice)

A sturdy longsword, made with the finest and strongest metals. Deals medium damage at an average attack speed. Has a chance to bleed enemies on hit.

Extra effect on Excalibur: Gives 40% bonus movement speed to the user for 4 seconds after 5 consecutive hits.

Frost: Solus (Latin for alone, single, only)

A medium-sized axe, who's slow and deliberate attacks chill and slow enemies hit in its large radius of damage.

Extra effect on Frost: Alternate fire that marks a target. All units nearby are pushed away, isolating it. The target is permanently slowed and receives a bonus 15% damage. Cooldown of 20 seconds.

Loki: Muto (Latin for shift, change, alter)

A long, bladed staff with an ornate crystal held within, radiating with energy. Attacks fast, dealing medium damage. Has a chance to rend the target, lowering their armour rating.

Extra effect on Loki: All allies gain 0.2 energy regeneration per second.

Mag: Hel (Norse goddess, daughter of Loki and ruler of Hel)

Altered Kunai daggers which rotate around the user with magnetism.

Extra effect on Mag: Emits a effective field of magnetism, granting mag a 0.5% chance of dodging any incoming hit.

Nekros:

Nova: Ammit (Name of an Egyptian God known as "Eater of Hearts" or "Devourer of the Dead")

Ammit is a shortsword with barbs along its razor sharp edge. This guarantees a strong bleed on hit, while also crippling (slowing) on hit.

Extra effect on Nova: Antimatter is carefully suspended in a vacuum around the blade. Every 10 strikes, the antimatter explodes, dealing bonus damage.

Nyx: Oneiroi (Name of the Greek personification of dreams)

A single Ether Sword infused with a bit of Orokin technology, Oneiroi is completely silent. All attacks make no noise, and enemies killed make no sound.

Extra effect on Nyx: Deals 75% more damage on stealth kill, ground finisher and spin attack.

Rhino: Bakasura (Name of a malevolent demon from Hindu mythology)

Inspired by an all-consuming demon of the same name, Bakasura is a hammer with multiple tooth-like spikes at each end. These extend forward upon impact with an enemy, causing a portion of damage dealt to ignore protection.

Extra effect on Rhino: Restores 3% of shields on kill.

Saryn: Devenir (French for grow, become, make)

Devenir is a pair of swords infected with a dormant disease. Any enemies killed with the weapons activate the infection, spreading poison damage over time to enemies behind.

Extra effect on Saryn: Alternate fire which causes attacks to temporarily bypass shields for 7 seconds. Cooldown of 20 seconds.

Trinity: Trutina (Latin for balance, scales)

A medium-sized scythe with ornate and effective blades, which respond unpredictably with energy. Has a 5% chance to stun, shred armour or restore shields on hit with a charged attack.

Extra effect on Trinity: Alternate fire which causes the next attack to redirect energy to an ally, restoring shields.

Vauban: Daedalus (famous craftsman from Greek mythology)

A pair of fist weapons which act as technological gloves, capable of both performing delicate operations and more violent actions.

Extra effect on Vauban: Removes half of the tiles in the hacking interface, increases reload and firing speed of weapons by 10%.

Valkyr:

Volt: Impetus (Latin for force, energy, violence, also English for incentive, stimulus, encouragement)

A heavy staff with powerful conductors supplying a constant flow on energy. This allows the Impetus to crush armour with sheer force, while destroying the enemy underneath with an influx of power.

Extra effect on Volt: Deals 10% of Volt's current energy as bonus damage every 12 attacks.

Will work on more as I get the time to.

TL;DR: Weapons which can be used by all frames, but give a bonus to a specific frame.

Interesting idea, not sure why people are that against it.  Essentially it just adds an extra effect to a weapon when held in the right hands.  I think it'd be good to look at weapons we've already got though, and consider how frames could synergize with them.  A Saryn holding Mire, Acrid, or Torid, for example, might get bonus damage for them, for example.  Ash could synergize with the various kunai.  Basically it gives us a reason to think tacticall about what weapon we want to use, instead of tossing them all aside for the BEST WEAPON.  If implemented, frames should be able to synergize with many different weapons of the same slot, with different effects for each.
