  1. To make WoL better and balance EV:

EV should be changed to give energy only to the caster unless cast on a WoL target, which then would give energy to the team.

    What this would do:

    1. Bring WoL back from the dead, and give Trinity four powers to work with, rather than three
    2. Make it harder to supply energy super, super, super fast (WoL would almost always have to be recast between EV casts, preventing spam)

I'm sure players can still use EV to create a lot of energy, but I think this would make it about twice (if not more) as slow compared to right now.

  2. You seem to find that the weapon has too little sustained DPS.That's what I felt too, and here's what I did to kinda fix the issue:

I use both Seeking Fury and Tactical Pump on my S. Tigris, to cut down on reload. I also use manual reloading (same as Vectis) to further decrease reload time. I also forced myself into the habit of firing one round at a time, which is very important because the damage output of the S. Tigris usually results in a wasted round. While burst DPS is cut down a bit with reload mods, the punchthrough can clear mobs while the high burst wrecks single targets.

You've also mentioned that you hit MR12 relatively recently, so that may be why you don't like the weapon as much as you think you should. I personally hated using the vanilla Tigris, whose reload speed was almost as short and had the same firing mechanic. However, after hitting MR12, I began using the beautiful S. Tigris more and more, and got very comfortable using it.

Basically give yourself more time to get used to the weapon, and try out builds/techniques to increase sustained DPS. Good luck man, really hoping you can enjoy this weapon as much as I do

Daikyu. Design is great, sound is sleek, headshots are satisfying, numbers are impressive.

Nikana class. Diverse stances, great damage output, great design (except Nikana Prime, but I despise that thing and its existence as a whole, not just the design solely).

Exactly my thoughts. I've been using Daikyu pretty often in PvE (and PvP) lately, and I just love watching gas procs clear crowds

I also use D. Nikana the vast majority of the time, over my Nikana P and other melee weapons

  4. Banshee is overpowered as hell.  Too much damage from ult even with maxed range. Also some buff to excalibur needed.

Man, the hella wrong with you? DEPLSNERF-threads will apear anyway especially if someone will keep running some "united plsnerf" thread.

Banshee is clearly one of the worst frames! *wink* We need buffs! *wink wink* Buff Banshee I say!

While it might be tricky, it is do-able if you follow a simple trick. Only stop running to cap, otherwise, keep running in circles to each point.

Sounds too simple, but it does work with all frames.

The problem however is that you kinda need to increase the speed and don't break the circle.

For example, if you have to go from A to C, don't do it. Just keep up with the circle of A, B, C, D, rinse and repeat.

That, in combination with speed should make it easy enough as long as you keep calm.

Either that, or capture 3 points and then try to CC those three at the same time.

After all, interception is not really about killing, so just keep control of 2 or 3 and it should be easy enough...

Pretty much what I do, works every time

To add on though, I believe if a point is being captured by the enemy, it's icon will flash at the top of the screen (next to the map), allowing you to shoot down that enemy and save time

  6. My personal favorite is D. Nikana/Nikana P, with Blind Justice and no spoiled strike. Tipedo is fast with long range and was really fun back when coptering was around, but I haven't used it recently since I prefer Orthos P. I am not a fan of the sword weapons but Broken War does have very high damage, so it's pretty good if you like the feel of the weapon. None of these are bad (like Machete) so it I think all comes down to personal preference

  7. Personally I use Nikana P and D. Nikana (for those sweet memories) most of the time because not only do they look cool, they wreck everything.

I also use Orthos P pretty often, running a maiming strike + berserker build to turn it into a massive blender.

Redeemer is also powerful and technically has the longest range of melee weapons :P

There are many, many viable melee weapons in this game and the most important thing is to have a solid build on the weapon(s) you enjoy most.

  8. I can't record what's going on, but here's what's happening:

When I equip only a nikana (happens with both D. Nikana and Nikana P) with Blind Justice and go to the profile screen, the idle animation glitches. Equipping Tranquil Cleave results in the usual idle animation but when Blind Justice is equipped, my frame does a very quick jerk of the handle of the blade and then sheathes it immediately.

Can someone look into this and fix it? And can other Tenno test this to confirm my results?

  9. I know I'm late to the party but here are my thoughts:

I find the Daikyu quite fun to use, just not powerful enough. I run a gas build, with thermite rounds and malignant force for the 100% status, along with the two 90% mods for extra gas damage. Every few shots procs a gas cloud that can clear a mob of enemies. However, there are two main problems with this, aside from gas resistance: 1) Damage is simply too low at high levels, and 2) IPS procs happen more often than gas procs.

With that being said, I think a Daikyu buff can consist of a base damage buff (to 450?) and add a unique mechanic where it can only proc elemental damage. The change to the status proc mechanic would allow the Daikyu to, on each shot, confuse enemies that are not killed (radiation), knock over enemies (blast), clear trash mobs (gas), and do much more. This would still leave the Daikyu at a lower DPS compared to the other top tier bows, but it would make it a lot more usable and benefit more from the high status chance.

Other viable options that can replace the second proposed buff would be to convert all of the base damage to slash (as OP suggested) or, convert all of the base damage to elemental damage (as several others have suggested).

Just some ideas from a Tenno who uses the Daikyu in PvE for fun, glad to see that some people care about this weapon :)
