  1. welll...actually it doesnt say that

    http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/401181903794986448/749F1F6889C9ECF2294BF8B4F6013B07554E42D6/

"Void Pulse increases the efficiency of Warframe abilities by 20% for 5 seconds"

It doesn't say that NOW. But earlier today and when it first came out, it said for the "duration of the mission." I think we need to have some form of compensation for this. Like DE should make it so anyone who invested in this skill gets their focus refunded and set this back to locked because what we got was false advertising. If people still want this then they can spend the focus for it. If not then we can actually use it for something we could use.

  2. The energy per second is not supposed to work with toggle abilities like energy siphon.

The power efficiency passive DOES work but only for about 5 seconds after you use the ability. Not for the rest of the mission.

I can confirm this as well. I have a Rank 2/4 Overflow and it gives me 2 energy per second (SWEET!) stackable with other energy siphons but will not work with toggling abilities because it's pretty much your very own energy siphon.

And despite what it actually says on the description, you're right. It only works for 5 seconds instead of the rest of the mission. Gives you a 20% efficiency for 5 seconds at rank 1/4 but then no longer works to you use your Tenno ability again.

  3. For people taunting the guys who are complaining about the Saryn rework... how's about YOU actually try Saryn for yourselves before making assumptions. All the best Warframe players know that what's written down on paper doesn't always happen in the game as you think it might. Far from that at times too.

While this rework looked very good on paper, it doesn't actually work well in game. I actually tried new builds on Saryn, trying to mix and match them to see what's viable and what's not. Turns out, none of it is viable. I tried a max strength and max range build but can't use it cause everything costs way too much to pull off as you now need to combo those abilities just to kill off like up to 12 enemies or around there. Max range doesn't work cause then you won't have good strength to kill off enemeies effectively. And if you got as much strength as you need... guesss what? You got low duartion and effeciency which isn't good on her now. And if you added high effeciency to that... NOPE, you just made the pre-17.10 Saryn build which no longer works.

I also tried high duration builds too... but this just isn't as effective as spraying your maxed out Supra out hordes of enemies and watching them all get mowed down. It's very ineffective to spam your powers against enemies now. I even did max effeciency builds but... that still won't cut it as it takes too long to kill those enemies that I could've destroyed with my Supra.

The problem here is that it takes time for Saryn to be able to nuke down those enemies now. First you got to poison them or spore them. That could take time to proc. Then you got to do miasma, which is a damage nuke that DOES NOT scale at all. And the problem with her abilities is that her spores and former contagion can only inflict procs on very limited number of enemies. It can't do it like an AoE like Ember's accelerant. The problem here is that miasma can't really afflict that much damage without those procs and if you only affected a small number of enemies and then ult'd, you're only going to kill those enemies you proc'd. Might not even actually kill them at all if they were too tough.

And yes, believe me. I wanted this update to work. I wanted to try something other than "Press 4" to win. I wanted to actually enjoy playing with Saryn's other abilities. It's just that it takes too much time just to pull it off. It's much easier to just have blasted them all with your Tonkor. One shot and everyone in that spot is dead. It's kind of required now to bring along a Red Veil marked weapon to proc those AoE virals and then miasma them to death. It definetely works but it kind of limits her on what weapons she could take on a mission if that is what the intention was.

    ---

Now if you ask me, I think it would've been better if her spores had like a toggling ability where you can toggle it on and in a certain radius around you, there'd be a chance for any enemy within that radius of effect to be marked with a viral. Saryn would be constantly releasing spores from her body and filling it in the air around her to afflict them. And yes, it's a CHANCE to afflict enemies with it per tick. Like a Nekros constantly using despoil won't always work but eventually it will proc. Saryn could probably use this instead of her current spore mechanic to help make herself much better usage and less time consuming to actually get those combos off in groups. Using spores once on an enemy only for like three enemies to be affected is just too ineffecient to actually be viable in ANY game.

Another idea could've been that you could've had her former contagion actually affect ALL of her weapons by adding poison to them. Not as efffective as Volt's electric shield but still could've allowed it so that it adds poison to her weapons so she isn't forced to use melee and could just shoot enemies and watch them get poisoned, then spore them, then miasma. This is an example of SO many better options for her rework that just wasn't thought up of to make her a Warframe that needs to combo her attacks. And yes, I know there are toxic weapons in the game, but she shouldn't be forced to use very specific weapons in the game just to stay viable in the game.

Overall... she needs another rework to buff her other abilities to be able to work on more than just one enemy at a time. It needs to be able to affect more enemies at once or multiple enemies in a shorter span of time. Not like... one at a time and one enemy per second kind of thing.

    ----

TL:DR I'm glad that DE has had good intentions to make her more than a nuking frame... but she's just too ineffecient at killing no matter what build you use. And before you say that I am a noob for wanting her "press 4 to win" back, I actually don't. I'm fine without it. Rather I liked the idea of making her something more than that. But the problem is that it she just doesn't actually perform well in the game now. All the best Warframe players knows that just because it says one thing on paper, doesn't mean that you should have expectations for what acutally happens in the game. BEFORE you make any assumptions about the updates to a Warframe's ability, you need to TEST them to see if it's 100% true to what you expected! I actually tested Saryn and tried her combo out. It's not worth it when you got weapons like Tonkor, Supra, Synoid Simulor, or the Dread or other Warframes that could now do the job easier like Ember or Equinox.

  4. There's a problem with the Ignis. If you combine it with a resonance Banshee, the Ignis will trigger resonance way too rapdily and often that it starts to cause FPS drops on everyone because of how many sonar spots are on each enemy. I actually crashed a game one time wondering if the huge amount of resonance really did cause it. And yes, it actually did. Is there a way you can fix it so we can still use resonance and the Ignis and able to do massive amounts of damage with it?

(And by triggering it too often, I meant that the Ignis literally can't miss a sonar spot so every enemy killed by the ignis triggers another sonar)

  5. I checked out the stats on the Rakta Ballistica

Final verdict: The Rakta Ballistica is actually VERY WORTH the effort to get now! Rather i could say that this is better than the Synoid Gammcor now as the sustained DPS on this is pretty close to Synoid Gammacor! And this procs Viral status chance which halves enemies health, grants energy, and givges you a 10% speed boost! This is also completely silent weapon and it's got the burst fire or charged shot mode. So in the end, the Rakta Ballistica now is an actual usuable end game weapon like the Synoid Gammacor and the Vaykor Marelok. Just need to be the person who loves to use that kind of weapon
