  1. Since you can obtain everything else with nothing, there must be any thing that actually costs. If you are into the game, invest some bucks and buy more slots to get new frames. Yeah this game is free to play, but that doesnt mean that you can have all the things without a disadvantage. And this disadvantage is that you cant have all the things at a time. And thats the most player friendly disadvantage out there.....

+1, i do think there has to be somethings you pay for and i think they do have it pretty right. buying weapons/mostframes costs a lot of plat so i'd rather farm it anyway. Only really use plat for invent and frame spaces.

  2. Each frame is fun in their own right due to passives and the other abilities but yes, it would be nice if the majorities of ulti's weren't basically the same.

I would like saryn's miasma to be damage over time over a large radius for example.

Frost's avalanche to slow enemies with a chance to freeze and shatter upon being shot, causing AoE damage, over a large radius.

Or Mag instead of crush could have an ability similar to Maya in borderlands 2, attracting all enemies in a targeted radius into a clump, lifting them in the air in a bullet attractor bubble. So bullet attractor could be a cheaper power for bosses, large enemies, but the ulti for large amounts of enemies.

Just something that requires a bit more action from the player.

  3. I can't be sure, you'll have to get someone to double check that as i had already bought slots and can't remember how many. I would assume so though, especially if you have full slots already and wish to purchase a frame with plat. Even if not, it is still 55 plat for a frame instead of hours of grinding and days of building.

  4. A light crossbow? A compromise between the paris and snipertron maybe.

    ^^ This.

I would like a spear/javelin, perhaps with a shield for blocking. Or some decent staff weapons.

Blades that strap to the wrists.

I'd like a club, not the fragor, but a club that i feel i am causing serious internal bleeding with. We have innate fire/electric damage, why not bleeding?

Some sort of ranged-ish melee, like a flail or the swords in god of war.

    A scythe.

I'd like to be able to kick in melee now and then.

double barrelled shotgun with a kick like a donkey. A true one shot gun.

A silenced rifle so i am not forced to use the paris for stealth?

grenades, they use them why cant we.

    AKBRONCO

  5. I agree, there are too many ulti's that are simply, press 4 to watch a room full of enemies melt, but in different colours. Basically the same concept : Mag - crush. Saryn - Miasma. Volt - Overload. Frost - Avalanche. Banshee - Soundquake. Ash - Bladestorm. Excal - Radial Javelin. And sort of Ember - World on Fire.

See Nyx's absorb intrigues me but i haven't got her yet, rhino stomp is good for the stasis, radial disarm is relatively useless and trinity is a healer anyway. Im not complaining about the powers we do have, they are great fun, especially Volt's overload, but i would like to see some frames with ulti's that involve the player more or maybe requiring the player to do something to make the ulti worthwhile, like priming explosions in ME3. So for Frost, have his freeze become AoE and buffed, and avalanche only shatters enemies previously frozen, with splash damage.

  6. They could also have alerts or insane credit prices to buy slots.

But yeah, I kind of agree. For 12 plat you get 2 weapon slots..but a frame is 20 for 1.

When you buy a frame you get a free slot and free potato in the frame. Kind of makes buying some frames (cheap or hard ones) more attractive than farming them.

Yeah Loki is 75 plat, effectively 35 plat with a reactor for 20 plat and a frame space for 20 plat. 35 platinum for a warframe is definitely better than farming hyena..

Perhaps if they allow resets on frames/weapons, if you level a frame to 30, say twice?, then you are awarded another frame space?

Or if you do sell your warframe, if you farm to make again you are not reset to lvl 0, but continue at the level you last had the frame at, so your progress is effectively saved.

  7. Your idea won't be looked at seriously by anyone who matters unless some dev is looking to tell a joke and make the entire office laugh.

Unattractive concept, unoriginal (poison) basis, ineffective set balance.

Fair comments, i just felt that poison is a DOT element, and saryn the poison frame doesn't appear to have much of that element. She has the classic warframe build: powers 1,2,3 little or no damage, 4 kill everything, but with Rhino's iron skin and Loki's decoy, sorry for trying something different. Not saying my idea was great, obviously it wasn't, but perhaps in future you could be a bit more constructive with your criticism rather than outright slating stuff which the majority of the community here seem to do. Thanks for your comment though!

  8. I do, as mentioned, but people have asked for different genders of warframes, so if this was a male poison warframe people may prefer that to saryn. Also you will notice that Nausea's powers are much more DOT based that saryns and that in theory and IMO all 4 powers are useful in their own right, which is hard to say for all frames as of now. But it is an idea, nothing more.

Edit: you do realise that Saryn is basically a faster version of Rhino with a decoy right?

  9. Hi there, I have just been toying with ideas for new warframes and would love to hear your ideas too. I have come up with a warframe who is slightly inspired by Muk (the pokemon), some of you may feel it is slightly similar to Saryn, nevertheless i would love to hear your opinions/improvements/own frame ideas! Here we go.

    Name: Nausea

    Armour: low

    Speed: High

Health and Shield: Medium to Low

    Energy max: High

This warframe would be extremely power dependent, similar to Loki, constantly on the move looking for energy whilst keeping out of the main line of fire and using his/her powers to support his/her team. The warframe has only one real impact damage power, and mainly relies on DOT to support the team.

I imagine this warfame looking similar to Muk (the pokemon), a bit round in places, less armour looking that other warframes. What would be really nice if he had a dripping effect, like how we have fire/ice/electric effects on weapons, so there is constant graphics of toxins dripping off his armour.

    Powers

    1. Sludge Bomb (50 energy)

A projectile of poisonous sludge is thrown at the enemy, dealing low-medium damage to a given target infecting target and those in splash zone with DOT poison for 15 seconds. Targets in the splash zone get reduced accuracy for the duration of the poison. The poison has a chance to be transferred to other enemies that already infected targets come close to. Good if you are being swarmed and need to take a bit less damage or for aiding the team.

Upgrades increase accuracy reduction (10/25/50%) and likelihood of transmittion (25/50/75 %)

    2. Tar Pit (50 energy)

A pit of poisonous tar is thrown on the ground, slowing all enemies that enter the pit and poisoning them for a duration of 15 seconds. Good for crowd control and DOT.

Upgrades increase size of pit (radius) and slow effect (10/25/50% movement speed)

    3. Consume (75 energy)

Nausea consumes weaker/weakened enemies around him/herself in a very small radius or damaging stronger enemies, gaining an increase in health regeneration based upon the number of enemies killed/consumed with a cap for 10 seconds. Shields are halved for the duration of this power. This is meant to increase survivability of Nausea rather than be a classic "press 3 or 4 to clean the room" power.

Upgrades increase health regen per consume (to be decided? health per second per enemy) and maximum enemies that can be consumed (3/4/5)

    4. Poison overdose (125 energy)

Nausea sends out a burst of energy, dramatically increasing his poison effects. All enemies that are previously poisoned have the poison DOT hugely increased and the poison duration reset. Note, this only effects previously poisoned enemies, not ones after the power has been cast. Again this is not meant to be an outright clean the room power as it only effects those enemies you have previously poisoned, however this can be extremely useful once modded for both killing weaker and weakening heavier enemies.

Upgrades increase poison DOT increase (50/100/150 %)

Recommended mods include Focus, Flow, Streamline and Redirection (perhaps Rush so you can sprint at enemies and quickly consume).

Recommended artifacts would be Energy Siphon.

As you can see sludge bomb is similar to Saryn's venom, but with increased AoE potential, a reduction in the need for shooting any spores and accuracy reduction.

    Sorry for the long post!

  10. I'm really worried about this last mod update. Yes they feel rare but that juste made earning credits WAY harder. Selling Rare mods was one of the best money makers out there and now they're extremly rare. Runs that dropped over 5+ rare mods will most of the time drop zero. This means its harder to buy blueprints for weapons.

What I see there is a nerf to the free to play part of the game. Common mods sell for a 1/10th of what Rare mods do which means it increases significantly the amount of farm required to acquire something. I'm all for Rare mods being rare but can we do something about deflating free to play players wallets ? Reduce the price of items or increase the sell price of common mods ? This is a serious concern.

Edit : I really don't want this game to die. It felt perfect but that last mod update. Yikes.

How about if the rewards at the end of the five waves of defence stacked and had a higher liklihood of being rare? that way if you get to wave 10, atleast you are guaranteed 2 rare mods? I think having the stacking idea would be a midway, that way its not too easy to get credits, i know i did it a lot it was extremely easy, but still a worthwile swap from boss/cronus runs?

  11. You can still farm bosses for dosh by selling blueprints, its not that big of a deal imo, but i may have found a bug.

Not sure if it is just me but when trying to but a fletchette mod on my strun the game completely bugs out, the mod doesnt get put on and the mod page sort of glues to the screen, so when i back out its still there, when i log out its still there, have to restart the game. Bit annoying as i want the damn fletchette mod on!

  12. you mention an enemy health/shield rescaling, AWESOME. Perhaps a damage scale also, i noticed playing loki i now go down in about 3 or 4 bullets, no matter the difficulty, although this could mainly be due to low armour levels.

Edit: It doesnt bother me too much as I have the extra energy max and can go invisible most of the time, i was just thinking of people starting the game with loki might struggle to stay alive.

  13. I believe this is due to peer to peer and a not faulty, but lacking, matchmaking system. You get matched to a host that gets full during you trying to connect, meaning the lobby is full, causing you to disconnect. Same thing happens in ME3 mutliplayer if you try to join a match and someone beats you to it. An update to the matchmaker or if we are lucky, dedicated servers, would help this.

  14. I have had some issues that have lead to me having to restart the game, they occur quite often so every couple of hours or so.

    1. When starting a mission I get stuck on the black loading screen saying "Warframe: Waiting for other players", and it never comes off of it.

    2. Sometimes I will click a mission and then suddenly all missions become unclickable, and the back and invite buttons do nothing, but still appear on the log in screen if i log out.

    3. Chat bugs out sometimes, saying I have failed to connect to server as the target device actively refused.

Sorry if the third was fixed yesterday but the other two still happened after the update.

  15. Volt is my main frame and I have had no issues with him. Even though he got a big nerf, overload is still ridiculously powerful. Strap on focus and reach with a maxed overload and you can wipe an entire room and some of the next one! Even up to levels 35-55! Then if you have a half decent gun you can clean up the ancients left or the heavy grineers. I haven't got his additional helmet but I assume that would just make his overload even better, perhaps finishing off the heavier grineers. Admittedly shock is useless other than for tickling so put a more useful mod on instead. I use speed with a good charge weapon, ie the scindo, turn on speed, charge at a group of enemies and if you time your weapon charge up right you can slice a group of enemies as you run past them, effectively a slash and dash. Electric shield is good for reviving and bosses or if you are in a time of need, spam a few around yourself and crouch for survival.

  16. I've been thinking, so many ideas have sprouted from thinking about gun class, how about a class that revolves around the turret idea?

So you could have the constant turret/turret shooting automatically for a duration.

@ValhaHazred but also have a power where you can aim the turret yourself, giving 100% criticals but either no movement/extremely reduced movement?

Potentially a defensive move, although it sounds ridiculous we are talking about space ninjas here..., where the turret shoots incoming bullets. For example 25/50/75% of incoming bullets are "shot down"?

  17. @Toddwjp i really like that idea, the targeted enemy would allow for boss killing potential and fire rate of squad is more support. Great idea!

@Karosu, yeah that was the point of having it 0.5/second, so it can be nullified. I feel rate of fire might be a bit similar to Volts - Speed. Perhaps an increase in rate of fire and reload speed? Volley?

Im liking the idea of him being a support class now, i originally just went for standard, but i think having him being a support, buffing damage/rate of fire for your team is a great idea.

Just thought of another potential power:

    In the Fray

Probably an uber, the lower your health gets, the more damage you do, exponentially but with a cap, but with a reasonable health regen so as not to be abused if low on health with high sheilds. So can be used as a healing power, or a life saver if you are being overwhelmed and need extra damage. Upgrading would increase damage bonus/increase health regen.

  18. The only other thing i was thinking of would be passives, ie two main weapons and potentially dual wielding as an uber, but i figured that wouldn't go down too well.

  19. I was trying to think of a new warframe and i figured, a lot of people who play warframe shoot more than they melee, why not have a gun class? Here is my idea, feel free to tell me if it's a poor idea.

    Name: Reaper

First off, his "bonus helm" that all frames have would give +15% weapon damage, -15% melee damage and -15% speed. Which i think is fair for the weapon damage boost.

Probably the same-ish stats shield/health/speed wise as excalibur so not too tanky, but not too flimsy, perhaps with reduced sprint speed due to shoulder turret.

    Powers:

    1. Turret (0.5 power/second)

This is a power that is turned on or off, that constantly drains power. A shoulder mounted turret that fires at the enemy which effectively fills the role of a wyrm, meaning if you have a wyrm you can double that damage effectively but you are on the constant lookout for energy. Upgrading increases damage/reach.

    2. Knockback (25 power)

Warframe fires a blast from his/her gun, knocking back all enemies in radius infront of the warframe (180 degrees) dealing minimal damage. Causes stagger for the frame due to force behind the gun. Upgrading increases force(how far knocked back)/range(or degrees couldn't decide).

    3. Rocket (50 power)

A Rocket is fired from the shoulder turret, dealing high damage in a small radius. Potentially fire damage? maybe armour damage/knockdown. Upgrading increases damage/radius.

    4. Circle of Death (100 power)

Warframe spins in a circle firing his/her weapon killing light enemies and damaging heavier enemies, similar to overload, but only hitting enemies in line of sight and within range. So any emeies in cover or that the frame can't see are not damaged, as they can't be shot. Similar to how the melee weapon predicts slash and dash, a stronger weapon here means more damage dealt. Upgrading increases damage dealt/range.

Feel free to tell me if this doesn't belong in warframe or if you would make any changes.
