Are you killing mobs when you get back the the corpus ship? You have to kill a few relatively quickly to get the sister to spawn.

Use sleep arrows on conservation targets. Almost always a perfect capture and you can get whole groups of animals that group together in one shot.
Edit: also gets around bolarola, nexifera and horrasque gimmicks.

Hildryn. High strength (330ish) and corrosive p one strips armor. use blazing pillage augment and subsume electrical elemental ward over her 4. turn on haven, keep ew active and spam 2. her 1 is decent, but requires some forma. i bring a rapid fire to deal with bubbles, and something to get rid of ancients. up to maybe level 60, you can basically just run around doing nothing and the enemies turn to ash when you enter the room

I think it started before she took over. The New War introduced eternalism, and Duviri pretty much flipped the table and opted for pure fantasy over the established sci-fi setting, and if I recall Reb took over either a bit before or after Duviri released. I think the real cause was probably how much Steve wanted to work on something else, and that bled into Warframe pretty hard in the end. With how long he's been working on Warframe it is understandable although very surprising they went all in with it.
This game has always been fantasy in space

I did some sp once I was comfortable w the mechanics, but it was the 60 eyes one that finally got me the the 2 hearing curses. I don't need any of the other curses for the rest of the event except hearing

I'm in a solo clan and it took me 14 runs to get the 6 curses I needed for week 1.

I came back after a 5 year break in April and had the same problem. The things I recommend you get at minimum, that will get you well on your way: laetum (secondary from zariman, and do its evos, i use the ninjase build on overframe); the arbitration mod rolling guard, maybe the galavanized multishots.
So, get to cleaning up start chart if you need to to get arbitration unlocked and do the zariman quest. Seriously, the laetum is amazing and pretty easy to get and rolling guard will get you out of a lot of jams. Those two things might be all you need to really get you going.
edit: the break was actually 8 years because I came back to my PS account.

Yeah. Install the steam client, proton is a part of it, i'm pretty sure it's part of the install, or steam downloads it after and installs it. Right click Warframe in library->properties->compatibility there's a dropdown with the different versions of proton. the one i listed is the one that worked for me.

I run it through Steam (Proton 7.0-6) on Linux Mint. My machine is older, so I have no idea what causes the performance issues, but I can certainly play the game mostly fine. I most play on PS tho, so I am not running SP or anything on Linux and keep it mostly single player.

What about the forum username and posts? I chose my PS account as primary, but the forum forces me to use my PC account.

Not sure this is a bug, but I chose my playstation account as my primary account, but when i log into the warframe site and forum, it uses my now defunct pc account name. Was this intended?

I'm not dismissing anything. I understand new folks need reactors. Reactors are not nearly as valuable as catalysts and do not deserve to be sold as such, which is my point. I also find endo and boosters useless, but understand that many folks need need/want them. Having reactors in the third rarest tier is ridiculous.

Yes, disappointing is correct. A lot of the sortie rewards are disappointing. For the rarity level, reactors are really disappointing.
