  1. I'm pretty sure you need to be more descriptive of what's going on in your case if you want the devs to be able to pinpoint and fix the bug...

...But yeah, the void has stopped giving me rewards too. I just played some T4 Interception and no rewards (the ones given between waves) were given to me at the end of the match. Oddly enough, the items in between waves didn't have names, either. By the way, I'm playing on update 15.13.4 in case any future updates show up.

  2. It's been a while since Damage 2.0 came out, and since then we've had an ample amount of time to test out its mechanics, including slash procs. At the time, I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong) people said that, even though slash procs on Waframes was considered bad by popular opinion, we should give it more time to be fully tested and understood.

Well now it's been a while, and we've gotten to experience the good and the bad of slash procs. So just out of curiosity, I'm wondering what the popular opinion on it is now. Do you like slash procs on Waframes, or not? I have a poll set up here for quick selection:

    http://strawpoll.me/3184798

I personally hate slash procs (on Waframes). They are inflicted at random by many enemies who normally cannot bypass your shields, they often do enough damage to kill you, you cannot do anything about them other than not get hit (which is almost impossible unless you're 4 spamming) - they are just generally horrible on Warframes. In addition, there is no point in shields when enemies can simply bypass them with these, and there's little point in player choice when you need Rejuvination or a specific frame to fight this.

Personally speaking, I simply cannot see a positive to these occurring on Warframes. They just make the game more frustrating and unfair, and make it more of a RNG survival game rather than a half-skill based experience. But enough about that, what do you think of these?

Oh, and I didn't talk about toxin damage because, although it is very similar, it usually only occurs against the infested, which you can actively prepare for since many of their mobs attack health directly.

TL;DR - Do you like slash procs or not, go to poll to vote.

  3. So I decided to try Volt again after several major updates, and I've noticed that his Speed ability still changes the user's FOV, despite not changing his teammates' FOVs. I understand that this is meant to give the frame user a sense of super speed when the ability is used, but I still found this jarring and slightly sickening.

After reading several other topics on this issue, I've come to the conclusion that many people find this ability painful to use as well. As a result, I'm wondering what the Warframe community's overall opinion is on this, and whether it should be changed/have an option to disable it or should stay. I have a poll to generally find this out:

    http://strawpoll.me/2501559

I personally dislike the ability's FOV change for the reasons stated above, and would like to see it removed or have an option to be disabled. But I'm wondering what the community has to say, and whether DE should change it or not. So, Volt's Speed, yay or nay?

  4. Just thought I'd make something fun. If you were a Tenno, how would you live your life, and what would you have in it?

For example, as a Tenno I would be a Loki. I would be a stealth mercenary, carrying around a loadout consisting of a Paris, Dual Vastos, and some Nami Skylas. My day to day life would consist of taking stealth missions and killing whatever assassination targets my clients want - even if they're other Warframes - in return for large sums of credits or platinum. I would also work alone, occasionally calling on the help of others (without thought of assassinating them) for help with big assignments.

This is just a small example of what someone's life could be like if they were a Tenno. There are other areas you could explore, like side jobs, being part of the Grineer force, or ruler of the Tenno-verse. What would you guys choose?

  5. Referring to the OP's post, I agree almost entirely. The only thing I don't like is the fact that, though you're making melee more viable, you're essentially hurting a playstyle with nerfing guns' ammo supplies. People that enjoy using guns will be gimped with less ammo, and you're basically forcing those people to participate in melee even if they don't want to.

Instead of that, I propose that gun ammo regenerates over time, and that ammo supplies are dependent on the gun you're using. For example, powerful guns like the Penta or Soma could only have 1 full clip at a time, and have their ammo regenerate slowly, whereas weapons like bows or the MK-1 Braton have larger ammo reserves since they're weaker, and regen their ammo quickly.

With this new system, a mod should also be implemented to increase a gun's ability to regenerate ammo. This will let the gun receive more ammo per time it regenerates ammo. Ex. Rather than 1 round per regen, 2 rounds are recovered.

These will both help alleviate the situation where a player is forced to use melee rather than their guns, even if they don't want to, without allowing guns to outshine melee entirely. However, this idea may cause camping in order to regenerate gun ammunition, which isn't fun for anyone unfortunately, and may require addition systems like a "need to be around enemies to regenerate ammo" system to prevent such occurrences.

Alternatively, you could just nerf guns entirely, making them a lower-risk lower-reward weapon than melee, but I really don't see that happening with the anti-nerf community. In any case, it will solve the risk-vs-reward disparity in one fell swoop.

Good post and good topic. +1'd.

  6. What will make you stop?

    I've already stopped playing normally.

    What will make you stop?

Boredom. The fact that there's nothing to do, and that DE hasn't put anything worthwhile other than grind and more RNG on top of more RNG, a.k.a no content.

What is your biggest problem at the moment?

The developers themselves. Alienating their playerbase multiple times, for example, with things like Derelict Keys despite people's hatred against Void Keys and the Key system in general in Update 10, not listening at all to the numerous comprehensive feedback posts, the constant unfun grind they keep on adding with new weapons, the RNG they keep on using instead of putting in actual game design, apparently, their working environment:

    http://www.ratemyemployer.ca/Employers/DI/Digital-Extremes?sort=date-desc

...Which is probably preventing people from doing their jobs effectively and making the slow and uncontent filled updates now, and ugh, the fact that I even need to rant this.

    What must change?

Tons upon tons of things. The mod system, which was supposed to let you mod your weapon to your liking and preferred playstyle, that is instead currently being bottlenecked by the gameplay aspect of "more damage forever" and Damage 2.0 fact of many guns being specifically tuned to beat only one faction, both of which disallow the mod system to fulfill its intended purpose, lack of an endgame, RNG, the grind (everything requiring grind and it not being fun at all), Beta tag despite barely taking in any "beta testing" feedback, power creep and the constant argument against needed nerfs, and the other 2000 things discussed in the comprehensive topics that others post on these forums.

  7. Topic title. I have:

    - Barrel Diffusion

    - Master Thief

    - Jagged Edge

    - Thunderbolt

    - Vital Sense

    - Lethal Torrent

    - Vigor

    - Split Chamber

    - Power Throw

    - Metal Auger

    - Heavy Trauma

    - Every type of ammo mutation mod other than arrow

    - Focus

up for trade. You can pick several, as long as the value is equal to that of Pistol Pestilence. Thanks in advance for responding.

  8. I always thought air was meant to stop people from idling to get rewards. Without it, people would just sit still for 2 hrs and reap credits and mods like no tomorrow.

I got to admit, I hate the system too. I hate to have fun in a game and suddenly see its about to end because of something I/we can't control.

No oxygen, but instead each 5 min LOOK what our operative have found! - and a marker appears on a map indidcating a place where special reward appears (to make you move around a map just a bit)

This is a good idea. Instead of the stressing air system we have now, with this people will move around without being pressured or worried. However, people will still be able to go into idling for 5 minutes and just reap rewards. Which is where this idea comes in:

Your survival rewards are tied to how many kills you get. If you reach a certain interval of kills - say, 400 kills, you get a survival reward that pops up around the map. This will keep players killing and not idling, while, with the idea mentioned above, keep them moving around, even if just a bit.

  9. As I click play on my launcher, the Waframe loading screen shows, but nothing loads. The loading bar just sits there at what looks like 0% (very small line of blue on the bar). The game can't load, and I can't do anything in the screen. I can't Alt+F4 the game, I can't Alt+Tab (most of the time; even when I can, the everything on the screen turns huge and I can't close the game), and I can't click or do anything else with my computer.

No amount of waiting fixes this - I waited some 30 minutes and the game hadn't loaded, despite the game only taking around 10 seconds to load when I could play it before.

This problem doesn't happen all the time though - sometimes, my game loads and I'm able to play, though most of the time this issue occurs.

This problem only happened after Update 11 came out, and it's been extremely annoying since. When you can DE, please fix this!

  10. Coming from the eyes of a purely F2P-player, i'd have to say that platinum trading is a good thing. As people like me can't get platinum by buying it straight from DE, we have the option of using our tough-grinded materials and mods to earn some, gaining access to some of the game's platinum exclusive's items. These things, which are of worth enough to sell for plat, take a while to get. That, and people's grinded-forever goods stimulate the economy and encourage platinum buys for our mods and stuff, so its also good for DE.

However, i agree on the crazy prices for things. Instead of just listing every price from 1 until 10000000 plat, DE should have some kind of put in a scale or average to tell us what things are worth, preferably created from them. This should get rid of most of the ridiculous prices as people will want to sell their things around the average, and I'd think that would be a lot better.

  11. Lots of the weapons we see in Waframe are shooting weapons, relying on bullets and bolts to fire. Although some are unique, like the Ignis or Flux Rifle, weapons in Waframe don't generally take advantage of all the mechanics in the game.

What if there were weapons that took more advantage of that?

One idea for a weapon is a chain and ball-esque weapon. A primary/secondary, it could be a hookshot, grappling enemies to you, turning them into rag dolls that can follow you around (like pets). Upon pressing the left-click button, they would be hooked, and upon pressing it again, they could be thrown directly in front of you, impaling any enemies ahead like bolt weapons but launching them farther than a Paris would, for example. It would be similar to bowling, but with Grineer. The weapon could also have a charge attack that could swing the hooked enemy around you, knocking down and stunning any enemies around whilst dealing massive damage to them in a 360 degree fashion.

Another cool weapon would be a weapon like the Glaive, but in primary form. Not like the old Miter, but like a laser-reflecting weapon. It would launch lasers (either very powerful, long/wide ones or lots of short ones) that could bounce off of enemies multiple times to hit more. With a great fire rate and decent damage, it could deal lots of residual damage. Lasers would disappear over several bounces, and in order to prevent vision blocking, could be transparent but with outlines.

One more weapon could be like a sticky bolt launching weapon. Something like a crossbow, it would have two modes - one with a horizontal spread and one with a tight vertical spread. The bow would launch several sticky bolts onto enemies, turning them both mind-controlled and disarmed. Like suicide bombers, they would have a fuse time, generally trying to blow up near enemies. The bolts would have low impact damage and decent explosive damage, in order to keep the sticky bomber effect. The crossbow itself would have several rounds, launching three at a time with a base mag size of 9 and a rechambering effect after each 3 shots. This is a cool idea, no?

Warframe has so many mechanics and not all of them are used to their fullest. For introducing new content, weapons like these with could keep players interested for longer as they are much different than the norm. These could breathe a bit of new life into the game, and would be super cool to see around. What do you guys think?

TL;DR: New weapons, like chain-ball-hookshots and sticky bolts could be cool and breathe new life into the game.

  12. Like we need another layer of "RNG" (in the player's mind, as they wouldn't have a clue of what's going on) in our gameplay. Imagine the frustration this would cause. If you're playing defense or high level missions, you're pretty much toast, even if you're trying to switch to your secondary. At that, there's no point to this idea. What function does this serve to better the gameplay experience? A random occurrence like this sounds like it would only make the game 10x more frustrating to play, dying 3x more often to something completely out of your control. Terrible idea.
