  1. I don't think that really constitutes as proof, ordis flat out says we are wearing suits...that seals it for me. Whatever we look like without our frames has to be pretty flexible, I mean you wear a spacious rhino one minute, and then squeeze into a mag the next.

    Iron Man has suits of varying shapes and sizes.

I heard about the fact that DE is doing PvP bans soon, which I'm highly in favor of to compliment the balancing, because, let's face it, there's some stuff in the game that's straight up too strong, or has straight up too powerful mechanics to work in PvP, without becoming inferior. These items should be banned outright... or not made into PvP forms.

    Here's my idea for PvP balancing method.

    Simply create PvP versions of most PvE items in Warframe. (bonus points if you have to do PvP to unlock them).

    Most things in the game can be balanced strictly through number changes alone. Allow me to demonstrate;

    Excalibur

    Slash Dash: slightly weaken

    Radial Blind: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Super Jump: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Radial Javelin: weaken. halve range

    Ash

    Shuriken: Slightly weaken

    Smoke Bomb: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Teleport: Halve range

    Blade Storm: Severely weaken. Severely reduce targeting radius from initial target

    Rhino

    Rhino Charge: Weaken

    Iron Skin: Slightly weaken

    Roar: NO CHANGES NEEDED (though radial blast would be nice)

    Rhino Stomp: Slightly reduce radius

    Frost

    Freeze: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Ice Wave: Slightly weaken. Slightly reduce range

    Snow Globe: Slightly shorten duration, slightly lower slow effect

    Avalanche: Shorten duration of freeze

    Banshee

    Surprisingly, this frame would be made into a VERY good PvP frame if her Sonar spotted weak points on players. Her other abilities need no alteration; she's a fairly bad warframe.

    Mesa

    Ballistic Battery: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Shooting Gallery: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Shock Shield: Halve the damage reduction

    Peacemaker: SEVERELY reduce the damage, making the ability function as suppressive fire, rather than a room sweeper.

    Hydroid: This frame is in need of a buff in PvP, not a nerf.

    Ember

    Fireball: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Accelerant: Severely reduce the damage bonus.

    Fire Blast: Not sure how the new fire blast works; I no longer own this warframe, and none of my clan uses her.

    World on fire: Same as above.

    Mag

    Pull: Reduce range

    Shield Polarize: Reduce overall effect.

    Bullet Attractor: Reduce the radius by more than half

    Crush: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Nyx

    Mind Control: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Psychic Bolts: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Chaos: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Absorb: Simply adding a short cast time of about a half second would give ample warning to this potentially devastating attack; if you miss the cue, you get roasted. If you see it and get away, you're fine.

    Nova

    Null Star: BUFF: Make this power actually work in PvP.

    Antimatter Drop: Halve damage efficiency. Assign a damage type to the attack.

    Worm Hole: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Molecular Prime: Reduce range by more than half

    Valkyr: if her Hysteria maintains its reduced duration in PvP, she's balanced as it is.

    Volt: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Loki: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Mirage: Her doppelgangers don't converge fire on the crosshair; simply suppressive fire in the same direction as mirage.

    Oberon: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Nekros: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Trinity: The only frame who actually may need a ban. If reducing the targeting range on Link would suffice (making her into the "HOLY BEEP KEEP IT AWAY" frame of the game) then do that.

    Vauban: Severely reduce the range of Bastille and Vortex

    Saryn: NO CHANGES NEEDED

    Zephyr: Reduce effectiveness of her 3

    Limbo: Reduce range of 4

    THE SAME CONCEPT APPLIES TO NON-EXPLOSIVE WEAPONS; DONT BAN, JUST MAKE BALANCE PVP VARIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GOING BAN HAPPY WOULD AGGRAVATE SO MANY PEOPLE ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY!

    Rhino's Iron Skin does nothing in PVP but make people laugh.

    Volt's Overload needs to do damage.

    Hysteria should reduce Valkyr's speed.

    Zephyr has 15 armor and needs that 3.

    Saryn is dangerously overpowered in pvp, and toxin is the fastest way to kill a Tenno next to bleeding.

    Bleeding brings us to Ash, who's 1 is a guaranteed kill when used once or twice with strength mods.

    All slowing abilities make your opponent bleed out for extended duration. If Frost tries to snow globe and then kill someone, he will most likely die afterwards and lose the match because his enemy is still dying in slow motion.

    Trinity's link let's her spot people trying to sneak around. It should stay how it is, seeing as she does no damage.

    Nekros needs changes. Desecrate and terrify should deal some type of damage, and SoTD should make a Tenno specter clone of who you killed fully, meaning they bled out.

    Limbo is immortal in pvp and can save his teammates and has infinite energy. He's a nuisance and needs nerds in pvp.

  3. I know this is a dead horse, but does anyone else besides me have a problem playing frames of the opposite gender? I don't know if I'm a bit of a role player or it's because it breaks immersion for me but I just can't play female frames. I'm curious how many others feel the same.

    i am the same way just play the ones that aren't outwardly female like zephyr and trinity

    like how would it look?a metal ring gauntlets,with shotgun shells loaded into chamber,and a striking hammer on the back of each chamber?

    "Tenno" are the people that control the warframe. You are a tenno. You can't farm for tenno. The way you get new tenno is you tell your friend to come play warframe. Now your friend is tenno.

    If you meant "infested warframes" then I fear your statement is hilariously redundant.

    Warframes are already infested, but highly evolved and controlled infested.

    Mirage: I'll just turn this into a disco party and we'll be out of here in no time.

    Valkyr: RAWR!!! *Grows energy claws. Metal flying all over the place with lots of screaming*

    Loki: Pft, this will be too easy, I just need to take away their... uh... well $#!%.

    Radial Disarm actually makes robotic enemies go screwy and unarmed/no ranged weapon enemies take a lot of damage.

    Excalibur just isn't used as much as other Frames. Let's face it. He isn't played by many... AT ALL.

    THE REASON FOR THIS IS that Excalibur takes skill to ACTUALLY PLAY (not Press4ToWin), but its not skill you need to play Ash, or manage to use Ember on high-tier levels. It's a skill required that no other Frame offers. I can play every Frame with no problems EXCEPT Excal. He is genuinely a difficult Frame to master. And a THAT is why you see next to no one using Excal. And P4TW aren't Excal players. That is all.

    Srry, Ash is powerful and doesn't need much skill to play.

  8. I won't apologize for pressing 4 to win. Of course, my 4 was Radial Disarm, and did not kill or even wound the enemies affected. All it did was allow my team a fighting chance against the extremely high level opposition. Everybody still had to get their blades dirty playing the game, finding enemies, using attacks, dodging. The disdain and disgust for a "press 4 to win" lifestyle is specifically those abilities which remove gameplay by auto-massacring enemies in a way that prevents any kind of interaction or engagement.

    Radial Disarm does do damage and at maximum strength can destroy entire platoons of heavy marines. Have you even seen a loki in pvp?

    The problem is Choice.

     

    We Choose to make things as ninja or UN-Ninja like

    We Choose to 100% stealth missions or leeroy Rhino through it

    We Choose to mod weapons for stealth, or for OMFGWTF damage

    We Choose to go Sword Alone, or slap another forma into that gun you love

    We Choose our frames that fit out play-styles

     

    All each updated added, was More Choice. I, too, hope that more Ninja options become available in the future.

    Best explanation. I've always noticed that usually in video games, when presented more flexibility and complete free will, even muting your character so you choose what they say, etc, people get confused and don't know what to do. It's like there's some mentality that in games you gotta follow the way the game wants you to play, but if it wants you to play any way, then you just don't know what to say. I suppose without guidance people become confused, but every waking hour we are presented with complete and total free will. Apply it to WarFrame. Not many of my friends prefer the stealth route, and usually ridicule me for making Rhino into a speedy and silent assassin, and making Nekros and Loki into tanks. The thing is, despite their abilities, despite.their look, everything in WarFrame is blank, leaving customization totally up to the player. You can play whoever and whatever you want however you want, because of the CHOICE we are presented with! and it's great.

  10. Is this game set up to be OK with 1st person? In gta the controls feel clunky but u can get used to it if u try.

    You don't want to see Vor's face in first person.

    I completely agree but for some good old fashion fun it would be a nice option, it actually saddens me how accurate your statement would be.

    It would make people use enemy radar and sense.
