  1. Lots of bad arguments in this thread.....

Rhino may need a buff, but only in the synergy department. All of his abilities are disjointed from each other greatly, especially Roar. I'd argue that Ironclad charge should be built in, and maybe there should be some way to recast IS without the augment, but that's more QoL than a necessity. Why I singled out Roar is that while it's thematic like Rhino Charge and stomp, if you kept with the theme it would be a debuff of buff/debuff combo like charge and stomp are. It's not bad, but it almost feels like it belongs on a different frame.

If it were up to me I'd make Roar either draw aggro and provide a small (not more than 30%) DR buff to allies or reduce enemy accuracy and fire rate if possible. Other than that Rhino is just fine.

  2. But that's just it, isn't it? You CAN change the system. It's hard, but you, personally or as a collective, can change it. The problem isn't that you can't change anything, it's that you're trying to change things that CANNOT and WILL NEVER be changed. There will always be a 1%. There will always be a person at the top, you will always have to work for most of your life to survive and you will always be at the whim of someone or something more powerful then you. This has been true for the entire existence of any society, human or animal, and will be true until the sun goes out and everything ends. That's not the point.

The point is, despite these facts, can you live in the spaces in between? Can the time spent making money for  Billionaire #37 or faceless company #10037 also be used to make your life better in the times that you don't spend with them? The answer is yes, and THEY know it as well, which is why they let you. However, they will always want more, and they will take it from you if you let them, so you must always be vigilant. I'm not going to wax poetic about "they keep us fighting each other so we don't fight them" or something as grand as that, because that implies that it's some almighty "THEY" and "THEM" against you, and it isn't. Most of the time. People with power seek more power, and they will take because they can, and if you say they can't, they won't. But what they will try to do is sell it to you under the guise of something you want, be it safety, security, wealth, fairness or equality, and it is up to you, not them, to learn whether or not that is what you will sacrifice to get what you want.

Which is why boiling such a complex thing down to some stupid chant or slogan is just an excuse not to think about anything and just let the mob think for you, regardless of what side or topic it is. Think about the positions you hold and why you hold them. Think about what would happen if you got what you WANTED. Think about what would happen if someone who wanted the opposite of what you wanted got the powers you want to hold. Think about what you will do if you get every single thing you asked for and the problem still exists. THINK! Don't hear, listen! Don't talk, respond! Don't shout, explain! And especially don't give up. Because it's not that "they" win when you give up, it's that you lose.

  3. God, I hate politics.

Why do people think that something people have fought for and about for literally thousands of years can be boiled down to 1 line slogans or a single statement? Why do you think literally hundreds of systems involving thousands of people can just be changes with 1 quick policy change or one new law? If your family isn't that simple, why would the world be like that?

    Ugh.

    I hate politics.

  4. Well I suspected all of this, and it's sad to see that it's come to this over issues that I could have told you about 5 years ago. It's finally come to a boil. You really hate to see it.

    Define "something".

Because depending on how wide the definition is we might need a phonebook's worth of text to explain why the salt has been exploding around here lately.

But mostly I'd boil down the increased hostility due to the state of the world and the forums being an anonymous outlet.

I'm quite the avid reader, so I'd like to hear your take on it, long though it may be. I think the state of the world would account for the ferocity, sure, but not quite what I'm looking for. It seems like a shift in Warframe itself, not just the base. I've been following Warframe news since I left and more and more I'm seeing some of the old guard talk about the state of play and it's decline. Sure, I've always been subscribed to more of the cynical sort, but even those who were far mote optimistic seem to have a shadow hanging over them. Even the people I know who play Warframe (granted they're all under 17) say that it's just not the game it used to be. I know Railjack was a flop and the last event didn't go over too well, but it seems deeper than that.

    Hey stranger!

    How have you been?

My job got cut cuz virus, but I'm getting retrenched soon probably. My cat just had more kittens, and I'm heading to my mom's retirement home for renovations and relax time. Can't complain. I never thought I'd see you here though, the way things are going with War frame I thought everyone I know would have packed up and left ages ago.

I just checked your activity and this is literally the first time you've made a post in.... five years?

Welcome back. T'has  become a salty place, these forums, since last you posted. Or maybe they always were.

I sometimes popped in and out over the years, but I still haven't played in 5 years because I couldn't afford a PC that could run the game. Still can't,but that may change soon. As for the salt, well....

Call me a negative Nancy, but it seems a lot worse than before. I've had my fair share of arguments and my salt filled threads, but it seems a lot more..... Intense than in my day. Something happen recently?

Sadly a lot of the original crew aren't coming back.  Combination moving on to other games and unjustified bans.

How's it hanging? Haven't been here in a while.

  8. It's a train wreck hitting a particularly large dump fire and I'm going to enjoy watching it all burn for the next year.

Used to like Bungie until they thought grinding to pay to grind some more and then locking me out of what I paid for was a good idea.

Only Primes are the original ones. Why the hell would Corpus mark their weapons with Lotus symbol?

You've made an assumption that Vandal is Corpus exclusive and Wraith is Grineer exclusive and You act like that is the fact. There is not enough lore on this subject to discuss weather Tenno Wraith/Vandal weapons break it

The direct statement of DE says that Wraith and Vandal weapons apply to Grineer and Corpus weapons alone. The problem comes where before they made this decision they already created Wraith and Vandal weapons. The case for there being Wraith or Vandal Tenno weapons is that at the time they were not Tenno exclusive weapons. As I said before, the Corpus reverse engineered the Braton, technically making the Braton both a Tenno and a Corpus weapon, and therefore available for Wraith status. The Strun too was used by the Grineer, hence making a Strun Wraith a plausible weapon as well. The only one  that doesn't really make sense  is the Latron, because I don't know of either faction using it ever. This is also reinforced by the fact that all Wraith and Vandal weapons released since were of faction specific make.

Why does Latron and Braton have both Primed and Vandal/Wraith variant?

For the Braton, the Braton was reverse engineered by the Corpus, but is still of both Orokin and Tenno design. Both Tenno and Corpus made Bratons in a sense. As for the Latron, I have no idea actually. Always seemed weird to me.

What's fashion sbout it? Highest melee damage in the game so far last check

What it lacks in damage to the Galatine Prime it makes up for in pure aesthetic

Are you serious? People don't like fishing and mining BECAUSE it's fishing and mining in a game about NINJAS in SPACE. Do you really need explanation past that?

    Yes?

Fishing and mining are now necessary parts of PoE. You have to do them it you want what PoE has to offer. You don't like doing them? How can DE change it do that you do? They don't know because you never told them. But that isn't your job.

    7 hours ago, AperoBeltaTwo said:

People aren't playing Warframe to mine, fish, run around as a snotty teenager or individually swipe tiny coloured specs of dust off the floor. People play Warframe to be the Space Demigod that shoots enemies in the face.

So what you're saying is that DE should only make new enemies and weapons then? Because that's all you need to be a space Demigod that shoots enemies in the face. Shouldn't fix armor scaling and damage, because you can be a space Demigod that can shoot enemies in the face. Shouldn't fix any weapons, because you only need a few to be a space Demigod that shoots enemies in the face. That is not all Warframe is.

Oh I know, you'll remind me that there are 12-something oddballs in the game whom actually enjoy doing all the aforementioned stuff. More power to them. Diversity is a good thing. But there is no diversity with fishing and mining. You can only get the resources required to craft amps and melee weapon-things through those activities. The only choice available to players is between fishing and mining for hours and days or ignoring PoE content in its entirety. Which is what I do. Which is what OP would probably do as well.

You forgot the third option, which is to  come on the bloody forum and tell DE you don't want to fish for hours and days. Ever thought of that? No, that isn't your job. Not only that, you're wrong. I don't need any fish oil or gems for the vast majority of the bounties. I don't need it to faff  about shooting things in the face. I don't need it for anything outside of the context of the plains.

I don't like fishing or mining either, and I don't do it. In fact, I barely ever play on the plains because to me there's so much to do elsewhere I don't have the time. I was disappointed in a great many things, and I went to the specified feedback forum and made threads about it like I was supposed to do. Ignore it, by all means. It is your choice and ability to do so, as it is with any content in the game. Do not then come and make threads and posts on the fact that you're ignoring it and not tell us why because that's not your job. Again, if someone came to you and told you "I am dissatisfied with your product and will not use it" what would you change about it? The only acceptable answers would be "everything" or "nothing" because you have no idea what the problem is in the first place.
