  1. I think people are taking this the wrong way.Locking region chat to noobs is not the answer here.

Really, there needs to be either a mentor system or some sort of listing of useful information that noobs can easily get to IN GAME. I, personally, cannot check the wiki while playing for a variety of reasons (weak PC, crap internet connection, other latency problems) and I'm probably not the only one who thinks it's a kind of hassle. They only ask so much because the information isn't that readily available. If there could be a listing or resource locations(maybe in the Liset?) it would take away much of the hassle. It could be a side button somewhere in the foundry and then no one would have to deal with it ever again.

As for pricing, what else is there that can be done? Seriously, even I still ask for prices in region chat, simply because there's nowhere else I know of to get that information. If someone can direct me to that, fine, but until then, region chat is the place for it.

The first level of the tutorial should introduce you to ALL of your parkour and combative skills, not just wall running and basic swordplay. Think about this: how did you learn how to slide? You probably saw someone do it, and then made a guess that crouch should do it. This is a very useful technique that could be done at any level, so why was it never introduced? The entire tutorial needs work, but being a $&*^ to newbies isn't going to fix anything.

  2. We all know it. You hunt for all the resources for that new weapon, you wait your 12 hours or so for it to build, you squeal with excitement as you see it finish in your Foundry. You hurry over to the arsenal to check out your weapon, and tears of dissapointment and rage roll down your disgusted face as you discover all your time and effort has been wasted. You weapon has... a D polarity.

D (or Vazarin) polarities are seen as the absolute worst polarities to have on any weapon, and for good reason. THere are a grand total of 3 mods that fit this polarity for Primaries, 2 for Secondaries, and 5 for Melee weapons. They are all pitifully underpowered (except Life Strike and Hammer Shot) and either increase status chance by the pitiful amount of 15% (which is outdone by almost all other status chance mods) or are cold damage mods, for some reason. Melee only expands on this by having the Parry option, which in itself is not useful, or takes up enough mod space to warrant a polarity. In fact, none of these mods past a mod cost of 10, excepting cold damage. This not only forces you to put a cold damage/weak status chance mod on your weapon, it actually penalizes you for putting anything OTHER than this extremely limited modset on your weapon if you decide to fully mod it.

This, in my opinion, should not be. Look at Warframes, for instance.Vitality, Steel Fiber and Redirection all have D polarities, and these are considered the staple mods of any Warframe (bseides Steel Fiber for some power builds). The other mods also greatly increase your defensive capabilities fairly well, or increase your effectiveness of your offensive capabilities. So why is it that the D polarity must fill us with Dread? (yes I just did that)

I suggest that all the D polarity mods be seriously buffed, and more added, or the entire polarity simply removed from weapons altogether. As it is, it in nothing but an inconvenience to players who, in finding a good weapon, then have to use a Forma to remove it from the weapon to fit actually useful mods. The frame polarities can be left well enough alone, but weapon mods need to change to justify this madness.

  3. I, personally, love the Archwing (and it's quest was one of the best) but the only problems I have with it are the lack of content, levelling speed of the weapons and Archwings themselves, and the seriously crap lag you get when starting an archwing mission. They have to reduce the effects on the Elytron and ITzal somehow, as their abilities cause half the session to drop and the other half to plummet to about 6 FPS

  4. This is usually how a weapon looks when I potato it, just match stance polarity and tada, no need for forma

    fTYZh.jpg

Meanwhile we have greater depth to farming up our guns to become endgame weapons with forma for big capacity mods like metal auger (15-)

When I made the comment, I forgot to mention that it was a maxed weapon with no forma/potato. Sorry, I guess.

I just meant to point out that using the basic, common sense build, you won't even know how good/bad a melee weapon is because you actually HAVE to forma/potato it soo see how good it would be on any build, which is very, very wrong in my opinion.

  5. Isn't a crit build latron wraith better than any build on the latron prime?

Is it still possible to get a Latron Wraith? I think not.

    A Damage buff? Nah.

Maybe an Accuracy or Mag buff.

I could live with that, actually. I think I went overboard with the damage, admittedly.

Maybe just a little more crit chance and mag capacity? I mean, let's be fair to the Boltor/Soma Prime and actually care about ammo for once.

And I still stand by my Chew Toy of Death statement.

  6. Now, I've looked over this whole thread, and I'm not liking what I see here. I love my Rhino Prime, it's my favorite frame. I also love my Valkyr, it's good for soloing when the internet gets iffy. But do I think that Valkyr's armor should be reduced? No. Do I think that Rhino Prime's armor should be increased to Valkyr's standard? No.

Everyone here seems to forget that Valkyr's shields are absolute crap, and that Paralysis depends on the shields for power. Paralysis, in general, isn't a very good ability, which severely limits her crowd control abilities outside of Hysteria. Rhino Prime has a useless ability of his own in Rhino Charge, which doesn't really do anything (though I heard good things about the augment mod)And therefore wastes a whole ability slot. They're pretty much even in their abilities.

Face it guys, Rhino really, really doesn't need 600 armor. Look at it this way, just put Iron Skin on a Valkyr. Do you see that dying anytime before Christmas??? I personally think that Rhino should have more armor, but more along the 200-250 line. Valkyr only has that much armor because armor's ALL she has. Hysteria only covers up her inherent flaw of absolute crap shields. Rhino, on the other hand, isn't your traditional tank (though you can make him so). Rhino's real objective is a router, someone who stops every enemy on their tracks by painting a huge target on his chest and barreling into the fray. Everyone tries to kill him, fails because Iron skin, and the team comes up and plays cleanup squad to anything he hasn't already killed. Can Valkyr do this? Highly unlikely. Can a Rhino charge into a room of Bombards and heavy gunners and slash them all to shreds? Highly unlikely. Stop with the Rhino/ Valkyr wars. They were built differently, for different purposes. Deal with it.

So anyways, Iron skin needs a buff, Rhino Charge needs a complete Revamp, the Stomp can probably use a little more damage and the Roar can use a little more duration. otherwise Rhino is a pretty solid frame.

  7. So you got your crit build, mega-awesome, bullets for days Soma Prime. Then you have this spray n' pray, in your face, ragdoll master Boltor Prime. But what about Latron Prime?

For those of you who have used it, it takes a lot of skill and precision to use the Latron Prime. It can do some solid damage against just about everything, effective at medium to long ranges, and you'll never, ever have to worry about ammo. It has a good enough critical chance and a rather high status chance, and the fire rate and accuracy are nothing to sneeze at. But somehow, it just doesn't stand up to those two god tier weapons, especially later down in the Tower 4s. I thought that the Latron/Prime was put in place to be an alternative to the regular old spray n' prays, you know, as a matter of preference. Frames that can't go barging in guns a blazing, such as Trinity, could stay a bit behind from the team and calmly help out from a safe enough distance away. Make no mistake, the Latron Prime is solid, and I have nothing against it right now (well, almost nothing.). The only real problem with it is the sustained DPS over time compared with the onther 2.

So I propose a buff, just a small one, to get it to equal, or maybe, slightly below the damage of the Boltor Prime. Maybe a little more Crit Chance, so that a build would be more viable, and maybe a bit more Impact and Slash damage. Not insane amounts, but maybe up to 20 for each? And a little more puncture too (can't have too much puncture). It would make for a little more variety for the playstyles late game, and it would also provide an alternative to basically the 2 most OP weapons in the game.

Also, do you think that the Latron family needs to sound a bit more...manly??? It seriously sounds like a  chew toy of Death.

  8. I've been hunting for a Scindo Prime Blade for 4 months with no success. Though it could just be my luck, I think the RNG could need some tweaking in general. Also, proportional rewards please. No one wants to struggle through 8 waves of T4 Interception  for a Forma Blueprint.

  9. Good job DE, for making a game people can actually love. I mean, there could be some improvements here and there, but what game doesn't,. We love you guys (and girls) and keep up the good work

  10. Melee mods in general need a buff, since most of the base mods (crit chance/dmg, plain damage, the impact/puncture/slash mods) end up costing <10 on the weapon, which just allows for a great amount of wasted space on your melee weapon. Most of the time you end up like this:

    With Stance:

    Maxed Pressure point

    Maxed True Steel

    Maxed Organ Shatter

    1 random mod (elemental usually)

This setup still leaves about 4>6 modpoints completely unused, which is just under enough to put basically anything.

  11. "Mastery fodder" weapons is a state of mind. If you put love (and forma) into any weapon you enjoy using, it could be pretty good. Some weapons need to be weak. Not everything needs to be viable for high level play.

I do agree that all stances should have more than 1 or 2 combos, its pitiful that some still exist in this state while nikana has 3 stances.

Except the Lato. The Lato sucks no matter what you do with it.

  12. Personally I'm a huge fan od the Penta, and I'm all for it being buffed. I think the Penta, or at lest Ogris, should be able to at least match with the Boltor Prime/Soma Prime in terms of DPs. That ammo cap really does have to move (25? Really?) and the suicide function, while hilarious at first, really gets old fast.

Also, why does the Penta use sniper ammo but need a Rifle Ammo Mutation?

  13. Three weapons that need a buff in my opinion would be the Venka, the Silva and Aegis and the Reaper Prime.

The Venka needs a serious speed buff; it is incredibly slow for a lightweight handheld weapon. A little bit more damage wouldn't hurt either, but speed is the main problem. It even costs a Forma, which is not the easiest thing to make early game, and has no polarities to speak of besides for the stance (which I personally find to be a waste). I think it could have been done much better.

The Silva and Aegis, being mainly a status chance weapon, still needs a serious power buff. Status chance is good and all, but it doesn't have the base damage to back it up. Another weapon that costs a forma without a polarity slot, besides for on the stance. The shield does the opposite of what a shield should do, cost MORE stamina to block attacks, which lowers your defensive capabilities. This also needs a complete rework (or Prime, maybe?)

And finally  we come to the Reaper Prime, possibly the most disappointing prime of the bunch. I didn't look very hard, but I've never seen a Reaper (was it a completely new weapon?) and it just lacks....everything. It's not fast, it's not strong, you can't put a Critical or status chance build on it to any great effect, and not even the charge attacks can save it. Its main function seems to be looking awesome, which t does fairly well. This is the only Prime weapon I've ever found to be bad, and I think many here would agree with me. This thing just needs to be less...trashy.

  14. Is it possible to implement a system where someone is allowed to rejoin a game after their connection is lost? I know that if the entire game crashes you can then reconnect to the squad, but most of the time players just have a slight lag in their connections and then suddenly lose all the rewards and resources they struggled for (especially in the void). Is there any way to make it back in the session AFTER the objective is complete? It could save many players a lot of stress after dropping out of a T4 Survival 40 minutes in.
