  1. Forgive me if this has been suggested before: Text Field for added spice. Great for reminders as in "Do the Sortie!!"

    I think this can be a nice addition to Orbiter fashion, or it may be a concern for ethical reasons/limitation?... I think it suits.

    Actually I think you're correct.  An item or an Arcane for the Archwing hand cannon (with a trade-off) for killing those things makes perfect sense for a new mechanic. Of course this has been hinted at in devstreams before with no assertions, but it's clear now where it's going.  It sure feels like DE needs more time for polish or something else took priority.

    Noted.. but then you're at the mercy of what DE thinks is meta, you will have less control over your fave weapon, since if Rivens are removed, then that "meh" but really fun weapon isn't capabble of end game anymore and is relegated back to fodder status.  I see too many downsides than positives without a Riven system, but that's just me of course.

     

    The arguments are:

     

    Centralization or Decentralization(?)...

    Control or Subjugation(?)....

    Free Market or Regulation(?)...

     

    That being said, the alternative is to make another pass to all weapons, but yet again not all weapons can be good, which means some people will be angry that thier fave gun can no longer scale... so you see.. it's the same problem regardles, and that's why Rivens is the best solution to this as of yet(or the best idea atm) to my knowledge, not perfect sure!, but it has more positives... it gives all weapons a chance to at least be viable solving the angry mob.

     

    On disposition balance pass; it has to be taken carefully, because if a meta weapon disposition is nerfed to a point of diminutive returns, then people won't bother, to then having a negative effect of making a concentration of players seek the other high disposition ones on meta cat. taking us back to were we were (Tonkor days)..lol.

    Here is were You having some control (Rivens), aliviates this. That's why I don't get anyone being against it, but I also assume they allready took all points into account for their arguments (my mistake I guess), but I'm learning that's not the case lol

  4. Brozime subs myb lol   I never (no matter the argument) could fathom why they think this way about rivens.. Rivens made old content viable and gave CPR to a lot of content that was just fodder, that's clear!.

    A re-balance pass it's not a bad idea (for non-meta weapons to up the disposition even more that is) to some extent, but who cares about how meta some weapons can be in a PVE game anyways?.. I mean who does that?.. you shouldn't care if others can meta/minmax anything.

    If the argument comes from their experience being annoyed (like some frames can do) then I can see the point and even then it's situational, but that doesn't apply to Rivens.

    Some just like to complain for the sake of complaining I guess.

  5. The game is a MOBA (sadly), but the animation and detail is insane!.

    Kinda has a Warframe feel/style to it (or myb it's just me), that's what caught my eye.  Just wanted to share and see if you find the similarity in the suits to a particular frame.  I saw Atlas at one point.

  6. Tenno!! let's not deviate from the real "underlying" topic here: Get that Stupid impaled Axe out of Embers head please!.. I mean, who on their right mind would thought that was a great design choice?...

    Now, on Ignus departure, well.. to me it's a huge mistake when ONE dude can make better skins that the whole art department of your game, it's embarrassing actually, but.. it's DE's game, we just have to suck it up or take a few Zoloft and let it pass.

    One thing though, if I owned a game, and had the same predicament, I would be such a pussy for any demands for someone so talented, unless it's game breaking of course, but other than that it all goes (it's Deluxe after all), besides, only thing being hurt here is DE's wallet, Ignus would go on to be greater than this I'm sure, and Warframe as long as it hold those 59,000 active players it will be alright, it will have a big downgrade in art, but it won't die anytime soon.

We will never have the full details of what happened, or if it was Ignus who threw the first grenade at them (and tone of the argument), but I am 100% sure that impaled Axe on Embers head is beyond stupid, and very, very bland... If the art team want's a Mohawk look, then there are a lot of ways to make it more organic.

    DE bumping heads on deluxe's is not new, it has been mention before, then there's Valkyr Prime (<-- my god! that was the definition of bland), I think I see a pattern here, is this how it's going to be from now on regarding the art team?.... I hope not.

    A door bug on "Back to mountain" (Ayatan block stairs upper door) was the culprit of me having to reset back to my liset, to then see that the quest states: "Completed" even though I miss the last dialog/scene/answer.. I was not able to choose my last answer, thus my question:

    Would this be a problem in the future(?) since I have no idea what the default choice was for the last answer?.....(Drink, Destroy etc..) Should I open a ticket?...

    I had to watch the last scene from someone else play-through, but main concern is not being able to choose last answer.

    Anything will help... feel free..

    And here the game bugged on me (The Door on top of the Ayatan), got stuck (Unstuck work, but still the door would not open) so I reset back to liset to see that the quest says: "Completed" even though I miss a big chunk of the last dialog (or scene?).. now I have to go and watch it somewhere else. 1 Year of a quest ruined by a door bug, great!.

    ohh and I don't have the Sorties unlocked..  Edit: it's Unlocked now after 2nd restart. But still I was not able to choose the last answer/option.

     

  10. Run into the same problem... got my TWW experience disturbed cuz of this... I had to reset, then wen I got back to the Liset, the quest was completed. Now I have to watch the end of the quest on video somewhere, I should had known better to wait for hotfix 10 just to be sure.

    For clarification, the door is the one leading up the stone block stairs(Ayatan) and it's "suppose" to open automatically, no stone switch.

  11. Wouldn't Nvidia Hairworks™ solve this?.... I  am not sure if the method that DE uses is Hierarchical Cluster-Based Synthesis but I am sure it's not Vector Field Based Refinement, so forgive my ignorance (vector field based refinement will make so much better), I guess more AA options would ease it a bit in the meantime.

    Hair does need some love, agree. It also seems that some hair options are better than others(not hair styles, but technique).. hair done by different artist's?..

    Right!.. and also, if adding just a diamond ice crystal texture overlay on the horns would be too much to suggest, then I'll take just making the Horns susceptible to energy color so we can change the color of the Horns... just Imagine red horns or bright Ice blue horns (like how I depicted it above) or even bone white or to have prisma-like-textures for that metallic grey color look<-- now that would be something ain't it?...

    If someone has the skills, time and interest, feel free to remake a proper drawing using my suggestions regarding ice horns... anyone plz. I believe that if people see a better presentation of what I am trying to convey here, most will like it. I just lack the tools or skills to do so.

    PS: If you cover the black horn with just a few fingers you can visualize the ice horns a bit better than just seeing both colors btw.

  13. I am not sure if this is something that can be suggested since deluxe skins are made by an external source, but I am going to try.

     

    Once I saw that Frosty Deluxe Skin my jaw drop and drooled, but... even thought it is very eye candy I noticed it was missing some classic Frosty 'Ice theme'. So with my Windows 98 paint skills I went to make something resembling some Ice on it's horns or the horns made of ice... in a way.

    I painted the horns the same blue as the sword, but in my mind I was visualizing the textures being something more like Ice crystals like the ones on the Fortress of Solitude.

    Please don't crucify me, I know I suck at drawing :)

  14. I also thought I was the only one too. Does DE take such feedback serious?... or is it one of those things that will take months for a simple translucent/ethereal visual change to be noticed from staff?..

    This is starting to get to me, it's so annoying, also your visibility gets affected greatly even with just one Nekros Shadows and with 2 Nekros is just complete madness.

    Thanks for the effort from art team to do something unique, appreciated, but please, it's embarrasing shooting at Shadows..lol

  15. My Gawd that was long.  

    This is just a random thought drawn from my experience in PvP gaming(and competitive) in well over 8 years with highly replay value (I am avoiding promoting games)

    Well myb you guys will think I am crazy for this, but I think the best approach for a PvP that makes sense is, to create a whole new system or mode where abilities are made with balance in mind. A set of abilities that you either choose as "Perks" as you rank up or are included in the frame of choice, but are not the same abilities as the PvE. That way a true endless PvP mode can be adopted for stable replay value. No easy feat I know. Now!, I'm gonna go even crazier than that.. why not use a set of weapons, brand new weapons design specifically for PvP?... you know, something that can crate a more balanced game mode, and not have this plethora of weapons mingled with parkour then melee, to also having to consider frames in top of that. To me PvP looks like a big spaghetti mess, a believe this will bring something more balanced, simple yet fun and engaging. I mean, isn't that formula what's been working so far in PvP games today?...(<--- I just want to avoid giving a direct promotion to other games here, but you know what type of "games" I am referring to), a daunting task and too much to ask at this point I guess, but that 's what's working and players seem to like it a lot!.

    This is aimed at the vets and youtubers that feel burnout:

    For the current state of the game and all the Youtubers screaming: "I am done!"... fine!, go ahead move on.. there are other things besides Warframe, and it's your fault to hardcore grind the game to it's limits. Yes!, there is this symptom of every farming game in existence that once you reach the zenith, then you're done, there's nothing that could be done about that, just a business model, move on.

    To the other Youtubers that are trying to communicate the problem with partnership and the mandatory requirements of 1 video a week when they have nothing else to do or create, then instead of giving mixed signals to DE and tying to explain it in the "I am quitting" (to gather some views) way.. then why not have a discussion with DE to lower the requirements to go hand in hand with updates and content releases instead?...

    My thoughts:

    I believe that keeping a positive attitude to what the game could be in a few years or achieve should be the priority here, meaning: be supportive not disruptive, since the game has change so much, so there is a pattern for hope of improving. Of course, to be fair I am no White Knight I also have my critiques, one being having no dedicated hosting, but since I don't know DE finances then I can't put the blame of it being deliberate or not, so I have to sit and take it, i don't like it, but without the information I can't push blame for that cheap move.

    Also keep in mind that DE is juggling a lot of stuff at once, the game is being developed along the way, it was not a finished game, that factors into resources allocation problems and time stamps in development.  So if you're NOT! a game developer then you should refrain from saying unrealistic derpy-derp remarks ,that shows how very little you know about game development.

    Closing:

    The game is doing fine, better than ever... Don't let Youtube video tittles fool you into thinking otherwise, don't let other peoples misconception from arguments of ignorance dictate reality, let's move on!.

  16. Thanks guys.. was not expecting so much support, on the contrary.. it seems forums are more "mature".. I am an old guy what can I say. 

    Well good news for me boys. It went away after it deleted that dll from the tools, but to make sure there wasn't any damage, I went and did a windows 10 core files restore. But I did test the connection issues before that and it was working fine again. So I don't know what to think of it.

    My AV:

    Panda Full Security

    (I did run all the major AV online scans to stomp out left overs; Kaspersk, Eset/Nod32, AVG, Malwarebytes, Fsecure, IO) but Panda was the one that found it and delete it.

    Firewall:

    Zonealarm

    Ports are open: 4950/4955/4990/4995 (I know I only need one set, but I switch, to test sometimes)

    Settings on both Firewall and AV have Warframe white listed in every feature excluding problems with both. I do go an extra mile and do test with both off, just to rule out software conflicts.

    Router works for everything else just fine. I did and run a few other P2P games and Insurgency and the connection issues were there also, so for sure it was an infection. I thought it was only on Warframe because a month back I did play other games a lot, and the problem was only on Warframe. But I haven't played those games in a month, sorry, a miscalculation on my part.

    Still weird though.. .I have my security settings pretty high.. to the point of having to lower them in order to play.

    I'll update in a week to make sure everything runs smooth.

  17. Ohhh then you never been in region at night if you find my passive aggressive odd. Is there for a reason. Expecting the worst <-- get it?... (assuming the most toxic from region are also here in large quantities), the community is very Immature which is expected by the age demo and that's not an insult btw that's a fact and that's why my comment is passive aggressive, I've been in the game long enough to know. We clear on that?...

    The thing is that my connection is behaving like it's infected. Of course I am not saying that Waframe is the problem since I haven't fired up the game since it deleted that DLL from Warframe tools.

    Everything before the trojan alert, was pointing towards a faulty modem, which I am going to test in the few days when my ISP bring me a new one (don't ask me, that's how it works here), I will boot up the game and post back later. Thanks for the reply.

  18. Ok everyone, first things first. Yes, this is my 2nd post because to be honest I don't have the time for forums (not a fan), and something called: "real life" happens. So now that we got that out the way, has anyone seen this happen before?....

    Could it be a false positive?.. seems so, but first a little background:  I have been unable to keep a connection with a host lately, I don't get hard disconnects, but I lose the host every time now (Network not responding), So I started my quest for the know culprits such as Nic card, Ports, Firewall, DMZ, Cables, ISP and everything was working perfect and in order. The only option left was Faulty modem, but then I check by playing other games that I have not been playing for long time and I got the same connection problem, so I knew it must be related to malware or worst, but was not expecting a Trojan at all...lol

  19. Glad I am not alone. I have this for a long time, but before Nekros update it was working fine for a while. I tried everything, you name it, I did it.  The only thing left to check is to make my ISP change my router just to be sure, but!.. it only happens with Warframe, no other game. I play 85 games on my steam and off steam on Origin and UPlay and some other P2P games and connection is good for long periods so what gives?...

    Getting the: "Network not responding" every 25 to 30 seconds in lobby and in-game.

    Right now I am being disconnected from host every time. Not hard disconnect from lobby nor hard disconnect from mission start, it takes a while (Waframe Servers) So it could be related to my Router, myb.

    I did verify and double check:

    1.Ports 4950/4955

    2.Firewall

    3.DMZ

    4.Nic Card

    5.Launcher settings DX11/DX10/x64/Fullscreen (I know it's not related, but some videos stated being resolved by this.. no idea why)

    I am overseas on a 6.mb Connection, but it plays fine for some time. never had it this bad before, that I am sure of.

    Any hints?.. other than faulty router?...
